- Shannon Sharpe sits down with T.I ask Tip to reflect on some of his dumbest purchases. T.I. immediately recalls buying an Aston Martin Vanquish and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren on his 25th birthday despite only being able to drive one at a time. He also remembers the time he paid 500k over on an Atlanta lake house just to prove a point.

When you’re young with a lot of money this is the type of stuff you do. When you get older as TI is now, he realizes he wouldn’t do that again. Can’t imagine $500,000 over the asking price. Insane.

If TI raised his family there, $500k wasn’t that bad. It was literally the market price set by the vendor, in a low stock and rare area.
It should be worth much more now.
500k over market value. The house was probably worth 600k - 700k at that time. So just add the extra 500k on top
