- Mehao Lake…a natural lake amidst virgin forest
Part of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, situated at an altitude of nearly 3000 feet and at 14 kms from Roing is the natural stretch of water which is considered to be one of the most beautiful spots in Arunachal Pradesh.
Mehao lake. The absolutely clear water of the lake attracts huge number of wild ducks. It is a vast lake covering an area of about 4 sq. km. The surroundings of this lake are extremely rich in flora and fauna. Trekking the small pathway leading to the lake through the virgin forest is a wonderful experience. Geologists have classified this Lake as Oliogotropic (Low Nutrient) Lake. The water of the lake is absolutely crystal clear and a walk around the lake fills one with divine pleasure.
History :
The natural lake of Mehao has gradually become a major tourist destination of Roing. The lake was formed naturally after the earthquake in the region on 15thAugust 1950.

We had very less time due to rain n leeches we had nightmare.

1. Is it safe there, by that I mean wild animal attacks esa kuch?
2. Will it be possible without any guide to trek upto the destination without getting lost? By that I mean pathway proper nahi honese bhi atleast pata chal jatai ki idher se janai bolker?
