theres an explosive sort of sorrow that you can feel through this piece as you've rendered it. A delicate and thoughtful process to behold. The result: a tale of bitter longing, an image of deep sorrow, bubbling to the surface through a tar-like layer of apathy. You were beholden to the standards set for the character, and by your employer, yet through this timelapse I got to see you have fun, fall prey to intrigue, and play as painters should. This was not just another splash art timelapse, you clearly found a potent muse in Hwei, and I'm grateful that you chose to share this video.

I've been following tons of artists since the beginning of the Internet, and this is the first time I said to myself that I have a favorite illustration among all the ones I've seen. That's what made me get interested in the character then install the game 😌

Yes, the 3D models in the games are not the most beautiful ever even if it's still good ! (And they are not meant to be seen up close like movie characters) Anyway for me, everything around the game (the lore, the series, the mini movies on YT, splash arts etc) compensates ! It puts stars and sparkles in my head and I still have them when I play. (I follow LOL stuff for years even if I thought I would never play it 😆 )
It's amazing to see one of the artist I admire the most drawing one of my favorite champions. Watching this on 0.25 speed helps understanding the rendering process a lot. If I could see this or any art you do in real time it would be a blessing from gods. You inspire me a lot and I must admit it's because of your videos that I could overcome my art block.

I love how u painted his hands because they are just hands but they also have so much of his character in how they are posed so elegantly somehow you can just look at them and assume this character is a gentle person . Also the way the cold highlight on the top and the warm shadows just yumyumyum delicious looks so fantastic. Idk why but every time I see this piece I am just drawn to look at them probably bc of that really strong shadow that frames underneath them ANYWAY there's like a million things I love about this splash but that is the one that I am surprised I love the most so I had to get it out of my system.
It's nice to see the date and time. sometimes you have the impression that someone made these drawings in a few hours, but in fact, many days passed and you took breaks very often.
The way I always find myself amazed by your art in every video. You're both an inspiration and a wonderful artist master. I learn so much from your process and I wish to one day achieve something similar. As always thanks for sharing your art with the world.

That's a neat little technique he uses to make folds at 24:07!
