I have PHP 1B and my understanding is that AHO typically manifests itself in people with type 1A, whereas those with 1B don't necessarily have the physical features (short stature, different shaped fingers/toes etc) but they do suffer from elevated PTH due to the receptor issue you mentioned. For me I take calcitriol which brings my calcium levels to around 2.1 to 2.2mmol, but I still feel exhausted 99% of the time and no endocrinologist has found a way of improving energy levels without compromising calcium levels. 😥
