This theme is better than the Sax piano and church organ put together, I can't understand why the producers of Emmerdale change this theme, it was well suited to the programme, i'm only saying this because i like the scenery of the helicopter flying over the Yorkshires Dales.
This theme definately suited that era but the 2011 version suits the more modern era better. The 1998 version was also used on later 1992-1997 repeats and it also suited that era too. Maybe for the repeats they no longer had the rights to use the 1992 version or maybe the 1992 version didn't age too well.

Same!! I'd also bring back the titles going over the Dales and away in the closing credits. That's what Emmerdale was all about - The Yorkshire Dales!
