I would have been a little more happy about it if they made the sportster s more Sporty and the pan america st more cruiser-ish like the Buell super cruiser. But maybe I'm crazy lol
I'm not sure why people are hating on HD or Indian. True bikers enjoy all brands (HD, Indian, BMW, Moto Guzzi, Ducati, CF Moto and all the others) and all types of motorcycles, be it cruisers, tourers, sport bikes, dirt bikes, adventure tourers. We truly live in a golden age of motorcycles and we now have a wide variety of bikes to chose from, for each pocket type. There is room under the sun for everyone. I personally have a 2023 BMW R1250 RT (and I swore that I will never own a boxer engine) which I think it's a fantastic touring machine. Next to it a 2024 Vespa 300 GTS Super for city driving and last but not least a 2024 Harley Street Glide for the soul. Now with all these new bikes I am thrilled like a small child and I don't know why 😂😂😂 since I can't buy another one - no more space in the stable and no more money. And by the way: I've had cruisers before , but the new versions from Harley are light years ahead of what they used to be: great engine, great tech, great sound, great presence.
I’m glad someone takes the time to delve into the details. I looked at the HD website and didn’t think much had changed, but turns out there are quite a few improvements. Thanks for the video Bob.
Best new cruiser in '25 for me was a gently used '21 Indian Scout for almost half it's normal value. There are amazing deals out there if you have the cash and are patient. 🏍💵💵
When I saw the bmw r18b on sale for $14,000, I immediately bought it. I have no complaints. If I had more space in the garage, I would get the roctane as well because it's also on sale 😂
i honestly think the BMW R18 fails in sales because they dont advertise it like they should and alot of people dont even know it exists or even know what its like so they shrug it off honestly one of the most beautiful bikes to ever hit the road imo but they need to keep the pin stripes like the 24 models had for the heritage of the bike
Great video Bob, even though quite diplomatic :-) Owning two BMW R18B's and one R12, I have to say that I am soooo happy with them all. Had a heritage for years but it was not enough for my needs anymore... The tech on BMW is impressive (front radar, heated seats and grips, reverse even... ) And engines that purr... Not to mention being so "different" in USA at least...
For me, the Indian Scout Bobber is still the cruiser to get. Being from Slovenia, our roads are just perfect for it! And also must admit quite fancy Harley-Davidson Sportster S Great video Rob, keep it up! You're invited to come to Slovenia and ride our incredible Alpine roads :)
Well, I have a R18 Roctane, it’s a wonderful and stylish machine and the Boxer engine has loads of character and low end pull. It wafts along. Nothing against the other bikes but I’m more than happy with my choice.
Can't believe HD are still selling bikes in the UK, I get them in europe and the US but not in the UK. Pan America is the only one I'd consider. BMW are now expensive Chinese built bikes like KTM.
Awesome video! I guess if I was looking for a cruiser I'd look at the Indian. There is a dealer close by. I'm not sure why BMW is going down this line? It has to be a tough nut to crack. Best!
Triumph Needs a Cruiser bike ASAP. They are loosing ground by not having something large for 2 up touring. Not every wife wants to sit on a Adventure tourer bike.
In Australia where I live Harley is King. Because I like to be different, I ride an Indian. Lovely bike to ride. Water cooled 100Hp. Goes pretty good. The only bit I hate is ride by wire throttle that is as subtle as a smack in the mouth. Does greatly detract from the bike. But as everything is electronic it stays. If it had a cable throttle I would be totally sold.
The Challenger was quicker from the lights than the HD equivalent, yet lacked a bit of top end and the gap was reduced as the speeds picked up. So without needing to equip it with a Llozds tune and cams, this update with more power will be welcomed to the Indian riders.
BMW has to actually spend money advertising their bikes in the States if they want to sell them. I never NEVER see any advertising of BMW Motorcycles in any form of Media in the USA.
For BMW it’s not so much about the engine character being the difference but the weight and the ergos. When you have bikes like the Softail slim or 117 heritage with less weight and more comfy ergos it’s no contest.
Nice one Bob. That poll would be much more accurate if it was done only in a country known for a lot of motorbike riders and enthusiasts in a country that doesn’t make any on that list. Australia. Where I believe Indian would still be on top, however HD would be a very close second regarding new bike sales. Regarding Triumph? Yes these sell extremely well here, just not in the cruiser range.
I love the Pan Am 1250 ST, notice it is missing that stupid resonator chamber after the cat, great choice, I hate it on my 2022 Pan Am, cooks my ankle all the time, it is going when my warrantee is done in 2028.
Who will tell harley that they need to add a second disk on the front of the sportster S? and they need central shock on the touring line not stupid imu or whatever paint job they think will sell
I think the manufacturers underestimate the look of the bike when prospective buyers are looking, why do people think the colour Red denotes 'sport' / 'top of the range' etc, there is some nice paint here but any Red and i'm out! Had HD's for years, in their defence had some tech (fly by wire throttle) etc before a lot of competitors, but the price/smaller sized bikes & chinese made parts & paint, put the nail in the coffin for me, especially after seeing 3 £30K+ cvo's at my local dealer all with orange peeled paint!
BMW has the best cruiser of all because they're from touring bike routes and sport touring the invented the class of bike they also invented the first dual sport GS class under your ass
Here's hoping Harley and Indian know how many models they will actually produce. They may wind up with a bunch of unsold inventory. I'm not hating on them, but I just can't see spending money on a brand where you're just probably try to make a statement. You can spend way less and get a bike that has more power, more functionality, better reliability, and less to maintain. 😂 I do love the reviews Bob.
As a longtime fan of harley davidson and owner of two harleys, I can honestly say i'm not super impressed with their color choices this year..... i like colors that stand out.I do not like colors that blend in. The same could be said for the indian motorcycles. I also like those bikes. But I am not a fan of the color schemes. And i'm definitely not a fan of denim colors. They scratch too easily.
I feel like Harley is playing catch up with their competitors for tech. It still isn’t where it needs to be. Underpowered cpu and not enough ram to make the displays buttery smooth. Cell phones have spoiled me for displays. Lol!
Ive been at home all week sick and dreaming of what bike I would want for travelling around and doing good road trips and what I would do to make a harley bagger all light and fast and fun and not a pig and then I remember that I could just buy a 2025 KTM superduke GT and not have to do anything but pack my bags. Hows that for a run on sentence?
Indian and harleys aesthetics are not of my taste though I respect them, goldwing is good-ish but Yamaha's Star Venture was better. Anyways, hope the new Goldwing gets that long awaited tech upgrade.
I miss the big japanese cruisers, like the Yamaha Midnight Star/Stratoliner 1900 ccm. The frames on the "normal" HD and Indians, are too small for me. Im 194 cm high, 6,36,. BMW with their boxer engines, prevent me in stretching my legs. In Denmark there are high taxes on bikes (and cars), fx the Triumph Rocket 2500ccm, will cost app. 53.000 euro. Honda 1100, no, too small. Where are the big naked cruisers from japan and I dont mean the Goldwing...Have a nice day...
The Harley Sportster agitates me. It looks pretty on the right side, but there's empty space on the left side. It looks lazy and unfinished. I damn sure ain't paying that price for a bike that looks so incomplete
I would have preferred if the person giving his opinion be more absent from the screen and since the showcase ate the new bikes of which are hardly shown on the screen what is the purpose of showing the new models. . ? I wanted to see them that's way I clicked on this channel but was disappointed, the bikes are so briefly shown that it defeat the purpose. Hopefully you mey correct the editing in a future one.!
Amazes me that a beautiful bike like the R18 doesn’t sell but the hideous turd Rebel sells like hotcakes. Not sure if it’s the worse looking bike or that award should go to the Kawasaki Eliminator.
Ye, well..... Cruisers - the extremely popular abolishment of the moto-world🤷♂ WHY so many choose to, actually, ride these, very good looking, but at the same time, horrendous contraptions ? - only they know. Showing of - is probably, Nr 1 reason. How can I claim this ? - very simply : Riding comfort = 🤢Handling = 🤢Practicality = 🤢 Performance = 🤢 Reliability = 🤢 Visual appearance = 😀 ........ Price = 😱😱😱😱
New???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Harley are making the same bikes for like 60 years, Indian doing the same thing since it started to sell bikes again...don't get me started with BMW, what were they thinking...same shit, different smell, for everyone!!!
The god emperor Trump has great trade policy. No more getting ripped off by communists. I'll be happy to pay a 25% tariff on my triumphs, because I will make an extra $10k-$15k by having my taxes cut. Trump is your new master. Have fun
The ST Pan America is their way of giving people the Bronx without actually building the Bronx unfortunately, but I like it.
I would have been a little more happy about it if they made the sportster s more Sporty and the pan america st more cruiser-ish like the Buell super cruiser. But maybe I'm crazy lol

Strongly agree👍💯
I do think that the Harley Touring line needs a bigger frame and a central shock absorber more than a new paint job or fairing.
And electronically adjustable suspension.
I’m glad someone takes the time to delve into the details. I looked at the HD website and didn’t think much had changed, but turns out there are quite a few improvements. Thanks for the video Bob.

Absolutely agree. I want to do this exact same thing. R18b are so cheap right now
If you search around, it’s not just BMW giving deals. Some distressed dealers are dumping bikes.
i honestly think the BMW R18 fails in sales because they dont advertise it like they should
and alot of people dont even know it exists or even know what its like so they shrug it off
honestly one of the most beautiful bikes to ever hit the road imo but they need to keep the pin stripes like the 24 models had for the heritage of the bike
Agree! They have done zero advertising. If they did they would draw away the Indian and HD buyers.
Excellent review, I continue to enjoy the format and content of these updates! Quickly becoming the highlight of my week!!!
Great video Bob, even though quite diplomatic :-) Owning two BMW R18B's and one R12, I have to say that I am soooo happy with them all. After test riding street glide, low rider s, chief sport, pursuit, I went for the R18 roctane,
The chassis set up is just in a different league
I'm waiting to see if Moto Guzzi comes out with a new California. If not I'm going with an Indian.
For me, the Indian Scout Bobber is still the cruiser to get. Being from Slovenia, our roads are just perfect for it!
And also must admit quite fancy Harley-Davidson Sportster S
Great video Rob, keep it up! You're invited to come to Slovenia and ride our incredible Alpine roads :)
Wow Harley doing the same thing they were in 1950 😂
No. They're grey now, have bigger engines, and are a lot more expensive.
@davidbrayshaw3529 😂😂
Doing a hell of alot better than KTM
@jimzenglish1 ktm bikes are better than HD by a huge margin, they just got too big for their own good
To Harley folks, that's not an insult. It's the whole point.
The Sport Chief looks amazing.
The sport chief with lowrider ST style fairing would be fantastic. Please Indian!!
Why do you want the bike to be uglier.
@ Nope! Just want a bit more wind protection for long days and cold days.
Started watching for the Indians, stayed for the BMW.
My favorites are the Indian Springfield and the BMW R18 Classic. I currently own a Springfield here in the UK.
I thimk this format is excellent, Bob, synoptic view of the segment, great work, thanks!
Love that purple paint on the harleys. Motorcyclists love to customise, and I think HD understands that.
Personally I would love that big BMW boxer engine but in the R20 concept not the R18 Cruiser.
Well, I have a R18 Roctane, it’s a wonderful and stylish machine and the Boxer engine has loads of character and low end pull. It wafts along. Nothing against the other bikes but I’m more than happy with my choice.
As for the Sportster S, here stateside, Harley Davidson has dropped the price a $1K from $17K down to $16K.
Bob you missed the 11 additional horses and more torque on the two low riders.
and the 117 on Heritage/fatboy/streetbob.
Can't believe HD are still selling bikes in the UK, I get them in europe and the US but not in the UK. Pan America is the only one I'd consider. BMW are now expensive Chinese built bikes like KTM.
We need powerplus on the chief
Who makes the lightest ?
What about the new 2025 Honda Goldwing? Honda put out a teaser video!
You missed the new buel cruiser. It’s 2 steps ahead of everything mentioned in the performance category.
You mean a bagger. They have the speedmaster and technically the bobber. A lot of people want the thunderbird back
In Australia where I live Harley is King. Because I like to be different, I ride an Indian. Lovely bike to ride. Water cooled 100Hp. Goes pretty good. I bought an Indian, so I guess I would go with the 42%. I do think the BMW cruisers look far better without the balloon front tire though.
Wow you've done some research.. 🎉
I'm looking into getting an chieftain, I've had my share of Harleys since 1972 and I'm switching to Indian
BMW has to actually spend money advertising their bikes in the States if they want to sell them. I never NEVER see any advertising of BMW Motorcycles in any form of Media in the USA.

R18s are dealership dust collectors in the U.S.
The Nightsters got a price drop. That was a surprise.
That boxer twin engine - jutting out on the sides like tumour. Why does BMW stick with these engines?
Nice one Bob. That poll would be much more accurate if it was done only in a country known for a lot of motorbike riders and enthusiasts in a country that doesn’t make any on that list. Australia. Where I believe Indian would still be on top, however HD would be a very close second regarding new bike sales. Regarding Triumph? Yes these sell extremely well here, just not in the cruiser range.
no1 cares about australia or their polls XD
@ You obviously are clueless when it comes to the motorbike industry down under. Should I mention the number of Australian world champions? 😘
I love the Pan Am 1250 ST, notice it is missing that stupid resonator chamber after the cat, great choice, I hate it on my 2022 Pan Am, cooks my ankle all the time, it is going when my warrantee is done in 2028.

For my money….. Indian is the way to go….

The same could be said for the indian motorcycles. I also like those bikes. But I am not a fan of the color schemes. And i'm definitely not a fan of denim colors. They scratch too easily.
These bikes are just drop dead gorgeous.... 1. Where can I scrape up the money.. 2. Wife.
I feel like Harley is playing catch up with their competitors for tech. It still isn’t where it needs to be. Underpowered cpu and not enough ram to make the displays buttery smooth. Cell phones have spoiled me for displays. Lol!
My god those Harleys are ugly. I love your diplomatic comments Bob, you should be a politician! Nothing separating you from the power- what power!!?
I hope Honda is watching cause the gold wing is lacking behind or me thinking about that Indian
Isn't the Indian 101 Scout new for 2025 as well? That is one of the few I really am excited for.
Ive been at home all week sick and dreaming of what bike I would want for travelling around and doing good road trips and what I would do to make a harley bagger all light and fast and fun and not a pig and then I remember that I could just buy a 2025 KTM superduke GT and not have to do anything but pack my bags. Harley's sure have some silly model names!
Indian and harleys aesthetics are not of my taste though I respect them, goldwing is good-ish but Yamaha's Star Venture was better. Anyways, hope the new Goldwing gets that long awaited tech upgrade.
I need an R12S 😭😭
I dont like the engine style in the BMW so I won't be trading my Scout 101 in anytime soon.
Wanted to love the BMW but i really hated i couldn't move my feet around.
Flames don’t age well. Years on they look dated and appeal to fewer buyers on resale.
Harley: dumb footpeg position, dumb fat front wheel, dumb brakes as usual, dumb lack of rear suspension, dumb price, dumb company CEO.
HD is literally trying to sell far fewer bikes at much higher mark ups
Yep. Same as the large automotive manufacturers. Fewer cars, larger size, jammed with more amenities and much higher prices.
All the electronics are not for the better. Just more to go wrong, and more money to fix. 🤑🤑🤑
If I ever purchased a HD, it would only be Sportster S, murdered.
Dollar to a doughnut hole says BMW DID NOT listen to their customers by putting a larger fuel tank and fuel-gauge on the R18, Classic, or Roctane.
The Harley Sportster agitates me. It looks pretty on the right side, but there's empty space on the left side. It looks lazy and unfinished. I damn sure ain't paying that price for a bike that looks so incomplete
R18 is way better. I like the improvements.
Would love to see EVEL jump that Rocket3 over some cars !...lol..
👍👍👍
Harley lineup very underwhelming. No Pan America ST or CVO for Australia!

BMW r18 all models was a disappointment.. they need to increase hp and tq. BMW falling behind
i wish they’d stop trying to sell them with women riding them. impossible to get an idea of how big the bike is.
Ye, well..... Cruisers - the extremely popular abolishment of the moto-world🤷♂ WHY so many choose to, actually, ride these, very good looking, but at the same time, horrendous contraptions ? - only they know. LOL @ your pole. The tiney british company winning the "americana" pole over harley. Well we know your audience is very much british eh?
No one is buying Harleys anymore even our local dealer has gone Toooooo Expensive over priced
New???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Harley are making the same bikes for like 60 years, Indian doing the same thing since it started to sell bikes again...don't get me started with BMW, what were they thinking...same shit, different smell, for everyone!!!
I rode the Pan America, it's a Fugly top heavy overpriced piece of junk! 😮
Trumpy the clowns tariffs will put an end to Harley-Davidson you won't see them around that and their price tag
The god emperor Trump has great trade policy. No more getting ripped off by communists. I'll be happy to pay a 25% tariff on my triumphs, because I will make an extra $10k-$15k by having my taxes cut.
Trump is your new master. Have fun
I think you waste your time on American style cruisers in Europe. You hardly ever see one and I sure wouldn't want one!
I still think HDs in the UK are owned by slightly sad neo grebos! US yes, Croyden......er, give yer head a wobble mate!
1st viewer 😊
No-one asked 🤗
Congratulations on your success
Do you have a shrine I can visit, or maybe get your autograph?
Bob is so afraid of offending someone that it’s like watching Sky News now🫤
Yeah i agree, guess he want to be invited to all the press launch
His channel from the start has been a middle of the road list/news channel… nothing has changed at all.
That’s why i like his videos. I can hop in and get a general pulse on what’s going on without getting into the nitty gritty
100% agree. No longer reviews more sales recitals
You're right. These bikes are all garbage, nobody will buy any of them, and neither should you.
