What makes a limited edition or collector's edition worth buying, for me, is an official soundtrack, hardcover art book, and steelbook at the minimum. Additional items are a bonus! How about you?
I would have to say figurine or statue, bonus behind the scenes disc, additional DLC content included, and a sick weapon skin nowadays. If it has those things, then to me, that's a special or collector's edition.

I used to have that Zelda collectors edition! It came with windwaker when it originally released for GameCube! I will never forget after school with my mom picking it up at EBGames!
Thank you! I hear you on that. I’m glad that this lot had black labeled copies for me to trade out with some of the green labeled games in my collection. Now when it comes to expensive PS1 games, I don’t care what color the label is lol.

I normally don't buy special editions, but lately several Switch games have come out with Day 1 editions only. I also got the same edition of Trinity Trigger on sale during the holidays.

I’m definitely loving the day one editions. They provide just enough items to not break the bank. Nice! That was the perfect time to pick up Trinity Trigger. That’s really cool! Unfortunately, I didn’t play the GameCube growing up, but I do have fond memories of going to EBGames on the weekends.
