Dance Well films - ep.1: Mia Habib and the dancers of Bassano del Grappa, Italy

The first film follows the creation "How to. A score. Bassano" by choreographer Mia Habib, presented in Bassano in August 2023. Inspired by her project How to. A score, a collection of solos that happen at the same time, born from dance practices codesigned with artists from all over the world, and dedicated to the creation and bond of new and different communities. With the Dance Well dancers in Bassano, the research has been dedicated to ecological grief and the heritage we leave behind.
Created by film maker Matteo Maffesanti, with Dance Well teacher, translator and interviewer Beatrice Bresolin, each film will happen in one of the cities of the project, and will trace back the creative processes, from the premiere to the first encounter with the choreographer. Through interviews and snippets of the classes, we'll also have a taste of what Dance Well has brought to each community, and viceversa!
