9:21 Did a bunch of testing in practice tool to figure out why this qiyana R didn't stun immediately while the later ones do. Turns out qiyana ult didn't true-combo into a stun here because Orianna was on the right edge of the R instead of the middle. This is important because the stun shockwave seems to start from the middle of the R (for the wall stun at least). If Beifeng aimed his Qiyana ult with Ori in the middle (aim R a bit to the right more), then Ori shouldn't be able to flash out.
11:57 Qiyana ult centered + Chogath close to wall + fat hitbox = literally impossible to cast anything between the Airborne and Stun.
14:04 See here, similar distance from wall as the first timestamp but Qiyana R is correctly centered on Orianna so there was no gap for Ori to flash or do anything (she had no flash anyway).
16:00 Flash+ER/Prowlers/AA/QWQ/AA I often see Beifeng use Prowlers Claw immediately after ulting, seems to be pretty efficient.
32:38 Yeah Beifeng's misplaying a lot this game but his team is ahead enough that it doesn't matter anymore. He likes to recenter his camera during combos so that's probably why his R went towards the top wall instead of the baron wall.

nice thing dopa did at 2:30, he TP'd onto the cannon to stop it attacking the enemy wave - making the 'even' wave push towards him and deny enemy creeps.

Wouldn't really matter much as long as he makes sure he is ahead in experience and cs
It's the risk of trying to last hit minions at the very last moment so wave doesn't push faster than if you secured last hit as soon as it was possible to. Guarantees a better lead, but doesn't garantee that you yourself will be as high as you can be. in this matchup it's nice, in others it is not.

It wasn't pretty but cs only matters relative to your lane opponnent so if you denied so much it's cs + XP it isn't a big deal.
The Qiyana realized she wasn't the win con for the team and was pretty much playing as support for the Jinx and Gangplank as they scaled up along with the ocean soul. Notice he never attempted to solo anyone after Dopa won the lane.
Dude, crazy how how DOPA knows what to do in every situation, and his awareness and wave management is so good.

honestly when your that high elo, I dont think its playable if your opponent has less thn 10 ping and your playing on 70. Pros always talk about how when you play on 50+ ping in higher elo, it makes a big difference since your just trying to predict abilities while if you were on 10 ping you can actually react to them.
meanwhile im on 240 ping 😭😭
I played Qiyana against orianna recently and just inted my ass off. I just couldn't cs under tower, couldn't get a positive trade bcs of the shield and W slow (+phase rush). Just impossible to win this lane if Orianna knows what she is doing.

Qiyana actually scales very well if she's not into tanks. Just take xp stay healthy poke and wait for all in opportunity, rly doubt ori plays to perfection, no matter who it is. Played the matchup recently, was hard in the sense that I couldn't stomp it, but still won it

oh man someone has to comment about the early tp from dopa, he tp's to the cannon so that the enemy cannon hits his wave longer than his cannon he just tp'd to, allowing the wave to almost slow push into him and the qiyana missed way more than if dopa tp'd tp the tower or any of the other minnions

Matchups aren't just champion based, it's also how comfortable you are against those mismatches

She's pretty easy to shut out the game if you know how to lane against her. As long as your team doesn't feed her
tough match up because orianna has phase rush, hard for a non cc jg to engage, and at 6, ori can r qiyana before she can get ice element off. plus shutting down cho early and allowing GP to scale is way better, so rumble played toplane and bot lane win cons. qiyana was only ever gonna be an r champ here unless Beifeng solo won lane. But its true as well that she isn't op, its the one tricks that make her seem broken as f.
@@Xabeutt what, Qiyana has no reliable escape like Zed. Zed ult is both an assassination tool and a "fuck go back" button. As Qiyana you all in and thats it, you can W-Q(grass) but thats it, see how she cant play around Blitz and Chogath and pretty much turned into an R-button champ all game. Just know how to play around their limitations and you're good. Add to the fact that Qiyana is so reliant on performing the ideal combo for the situation, making her very skill reliant.
Only champs I can categorize on the "fun to play but very much not against" are Yone, Irelia and Samira and maybe Yasuo(?)

Feels like Dopa really blundered his carry potential this game by buying weird items such as the void staff vs. 0 mr. He did so little dmg when also going liandrys and hourglass (which was needed here) and having no seraphs. It became even more apparent when the enemy team got ocean soul, making oneshots and wombos basically the only way for red side to win teamfights.

no. It’s because the enemy team has a lot of health stacking champs. gp, rumble, and thresh. Their items give lots of health so Liandries burn gets lots of value.

The problem with blue side comp is lack of a true frontline and no reliable long range engage. It's one of those comps you'll see sometimes in pro play where they focus too heavily on drafting to counterpick lane and end up with a comp that can't reliably teamfight vs a coordinated team. So it works in solo queue, but in pro play they'd have to act as a pick comp and we all know that only really works if you outclass your opponent heavily or snowball hard early game.
Edit after viewing: Red side failed to utilize tp pressure and made more (both made some) very bad macro plays which cost them potential advantages. Their engages were also split. Perhaps they intended to layer them; but if so, the execution was often poor. A tp flank could have gone a long way too as the linear disengage of red's comp is very solid with rumble, gp ult, and thresh box making it almost impossible to just run at them and force without having a member completely chunked out before you can even secure your engage. I still say in pro play red side comp wins more often if the skill gap isn't large.

Have you ever played Qiqi vs a Ori that knows what she is doing? Imo only winnable for the Qiqi if the Ori is scared or misses everything.
