@@robertduransongcovers4401 ...Thank you. My universal replacement unit is barely working. It is hard to unscrew. I live in Florida USA and use that weed eater (trimmer) almost year round. I just weed eat my grass, and haven't used my lawnmower in at least 2 years. Best thing is that I don't have to breathe the lawn mower exhaust fumes & I don't have to get gas for the lawnmower. I bought a better Ryobi weed eater, but it started making noises in the motor after 2 months so I returned it. I've had this unit 4 to 5 years
They make these Ryobi parts so complex but your video helped me tremendously! Thank you! My model didn't require the extra nuts and tools it came with, which made me apprehensive about installing. The bump head broke or melted on mine, and though I have used it all summer, I was upset that it broke so quickly. Thank you!
...I have several other random videos. Haven't posted on this channel much in 7 years. Hope to start 2 new TH-cam channels in 2025. One will cover teaching the whole Bible, cover to cover (what I know anyway).
Thank you very much for this, I've had mine for a few days and finally decided to put it on, this really helped. I was actually installing a fixed blade head but it's set up about the same.

I bought one “Reel Easy Kit”’and it broke on the 2nd day of using it. Bought a 2nd one and Gonna do a video on that experience hopefully once I try it for a while
@@ashleyduncan7850.....I think I gave instructions how to do it, but couldn't actually do it with one hand while holding the camera in the other hand. It is VERY POOR design and I have to struggle EVERY single time to push down to unscrew the head and to push down to screw it back on. Nevertheless, I have owned this unit and leaf blower about 6 years now and use it year round in Florida USA. Only bad part is one of 2 batteries died and they are very expensive.
No offense but this is a terrible video. I replaced my trimmer head in 30 seconds. There's no reason for your video to be 11 minutes. I used the screw driver to lock the trimmer head just as you showed and then spun the head loose. Then I spun the new trimmer head on. Literally 30 seconds.
…..I have a brother in law who is mechanically inclined like you. This video was trying to show every possible aspect, but like someone said above I didn’t show people how to put the head on, so I missed at least one thing.
...I admire people like you. My question is did you watch other TH-cam videos, or was mine the only one? I had to watch several videos on the same subject to come to the conclusions I did. Thanks for the input. It is a VERY POORLY designed system but I have been using my unit over 6 years now in very heavy use.
.... I actually don't like talking technical stuff. The paper instructions are almost worthless. I have a bad low speaking voice. Many other comments appreciated the video. What I do Love ❤️ talking to is my cats. I may want to make a video series like Mr Rodgers, Sesame Street or Howdy Duty on my cats. It would be a kid Friendly show. It would captivate the kids attention and maybe stimulate their imagination or get abused kids some relief. Thank you for your input. The unit is VERY POORLY designed but has worked over 4 years in very heavy use
Thank you, sir. Your tutorial helps me with my dyslexia and makes it easier for my brain to process to complete this task.
Thank you for this!! I was upset and almost bought a brand new trimmer until I found your video. Super helpful and explanatory.
Very nice demonstration about replacement of the string to a trimmer. Enjoyed your full video and subbed. 11:09

Yours is the best video for installing this Ryobi string trimmer head
…Wow.. thanks…. There was a time when instruction manuals actually showed you how to install things correctly, for the most part
I subbed. Thanks, dude.
Thank you.
This guy needs to hire a cameraman
….Amen… , but would prefer a hot camera woman 😍😜
AMEN!!!

2nd Ryobi Reel Easy is still working great months later
Update: Still working ok 1 to 2 years later. The design has a little to be desired
You didn’t show how to put the head on!
That's what I need help with is putting the head back on too. It's won't turn to lock
…..sorry about that

Thanks instructions that come with the product are useless

way to much talking and not enough simple take this, add that screw this turn that, but I understand people love to listen to themselves
