I whole heartedly support the conservationist for this area. The county workers and politicians in the valley don't know me. Yet. But as a new land owner, I hope and pray they continue to maintain its natural façade, this is what I fell in love with. And that they protect the animals that call this place home, and guard its natural aquifer. The Rio Grand River is already being bleed by parts Texas if I am to believe what I've been told. I think its high time to monitor just how much. I don't know the politics of what ever kind of deal the Texans have but they should be paying a subsidy to both Colorado and New Mexico as well as some sort of taxes since it is apparent they need our resources to thrive. We also should provide for the animals because due to human habitat they too have lost spaces where they can roam and forage
I owned the big brick house at the end of main street in Hooper...cold ,windy, dusty..summer can be nice if it falls on a weekend
