She wanted women to be good moms at home because she had seen the affects of neglect. Mothering is needed as much as feminism. Hoover said that he needed good women in the FBI. It would’ve solved a lot of PRS, no doubt. Detailed, and they don’t forget. Won’t let men forget either. Having to fight for our right to vote against the drunks of Prohibition. Good times.

Hoover didn't like women. He never got married. He fired all the female agents when he became director of the FBI in 1924. He also banned the future hiring of them. And he argued against women getting the right to vote. He saw 8 presidents come and go during his time as head of the FBI, respectively Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon. He held secret files on political leaders, and was in a position where he could intimidate and threaten others, including sitting presidents of the United States.

The sources I’ve read said otherwise, but now I’ll look into him further. Thank you, Annie!
