i read 'the opposite of always' a couple months ago and surprisingly loved it. i literally only picked it up bc me and my friend thought the cover looked cute lol. but im so glad i did go thru with it. i also just wanted to say that i love you and your videos so much, and honestly you are like my main motivation to keep reading. bc of you i read so many new books that i know i never wouldve read if it wasnt for you.. so thank you :)

The only book I've read recently was Heartstopper Volume 1 by Alice Oseman and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That graphic novel has finally got me out of my reading slump and I'm currently reading Love Simon and The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue. I'm loving the Gentlemen's Guide, I'm finding Love Simon a bit slow but I'm hoping that I will love it when I finish it 😊😊
I'm thinking of getting Slay now- it just sounds so interesting and powerful. The upcoming Christina Lauren In a holidaze sounds great it's definetely going to be on my TBR.
you should read “white rose” by kip wilson! it’s a novel in verse during ww2 about a girl and her brother handing out pamphlets against hitlers regime. it is so good!! the way time occurs in it is so interesting

You’ve Got Mail was one of my favorites growing up. I love watching it in the fall. The Shop Around The Corner is also really good. You’ve Got Mail is the remake of The Shop Around The Corner.

Dear Hailey, this month I read a book that was so fascinating I whole heartedly feel it is my all time favourite book. This could be because of how badly I want a book to come and overshadow all the other books I've read until said date. This was also the 24th book I read this year. Its called The Goldfinch. What is fascinating is that I read Secret History by the same author last year and it was the best book I read in all of 2019. Now in this here somewhat vacant here that is the year of reading 2020 - The Goldfinch has set standards that are very high. I recall each and every character and they are fresh now. No book I have read has had such a high marvellous quotient of adventure, nostalgia, well-roundedness and overall alacrity. I feel as though I've been typing for a while so I'll just leave this here.
I think you may have mentioned him before, don't know if you've read the series, but the Cemetery of Forgotten Books by Carlos Ruiz Zafón also covers a large swath of Spanish history, it's a great insider's perspective of the time period as the author is a native of Barcelona

I also recently read Clap When They Land, and as someone who’s Dominican I definitely felt very connected to the story but then I got frustrated with how Dominican culture was portrayed in the story. Camino and her grandma are very stereotyped and over exaggerated that it worried me that people who don’t know much about Dominican culture would based it on this story (same with Pride by Ibi Zoboi) but I’ve enjoyed Acevedo’s other works

This goes into the history of AIDS, Act Up, Madonna's Vogue era, tons of Trans rep, Drag Queen rep, diversity and the characters are amazing. Highly recommend that show! 💖🥰
