- Welcome to the garden. I have so much to show you from my cottage border and from the woodland garden.
I'm talking about wild planting, shade loving plants:
Geranium tuberosum, Philadelphus coronarius 'Aureus',Anthriscus sylvestris 'Ravenswing', Camassia caerulea leichtlinii, Sambucus nigra 'Black Beauty', Smyrnium perfoliatum, Bistorta officinali, Lamium orvala, Physocarpus opulifolius 'Dart's Gold', Lilium 'Black Beauty', Allium aflatunense 'Purple Sensation', Valeriana pyrenaica, Rodgersia podophylla, Allium ursinum, Hydrangea aspera 'Macrophylla', Dicentra spectabilis, Corylus avellana 'Red Majestic' and Paeonia delavayi.

I just love how your garden is not structured or looks like landscaping and looks like a true gardener's home garden that is exploding with plants.

I absolutely love the chartreuse foliage of those mock oranges too. I have 3 in my small garden, and they look beautiful and glow, especially on dark days.😊

could you please make a video how you water your garden? It seems to be an uninteresting topic for many viewer, but it makes a huge difference if you water in the morning, in the evening, if you give a shower to the plants or not, if you own a technical wateringsystem system
or if you water by hand, as you said. Please show how.

Lars, and Allen from the Perennial Garden/Staudehaven, from Fredericia mentioned you in their June garden tour, and I thought, I know you, I've seen many of your videos, also the recent English ones, and absolutely love your garden, and really appreciate you teaching us how to do gardening, and especially the names of the plants.

I appreciate your videos so much. I always watch with my notes open and adding plants to my wishlist. I would like to hear about your experience about light exposures. for example: i see that your tree peony is in the woodland garden, but these are recommended for full sun location. I have a lot of half and full shade spaces and always wonder how far I can stretch these sun loving plants. Thank you!

In appreciation, from rural New Zealand, where we are just going from autumn towards winter, and the Paperwhite narcissus are blooming, while all our deciduous elms and silver birches blaze in gold and our enormous tree dahlias bloom delicately, high in the sky, in lavender pink, against a deep blue sky.

I just adore your garden. I grow alot of the same plants as you in my cottage garden in the UK and also have a wild, natural look which really suits a rural garden. How does your anthriscus have space to self seed when you have such densely planted borders?

Another great video Mr Dalby, I am really enjoying these and the information you kindly give us. I was wondering whether you could mention when explaining the flowers or shrubs if you could advise whether they are sun loving or better growing in the shade as i think it would be useful at times. I wanted to ask you also if I could grow the Sambucus Nigra in a pot, and does it like a shaded area. Thank you

The containers are watered ‘the old-fashioned way’ with a hose and a watering wand.
