With RA4 I hesitated quite a long time. Funny enough I just realized that I spent the same amount of money for the RA4 paper & chemicals as for black and white paper and chemistry. Congrats to the Jobo unit! I'd say it's a good choice. Two weeks ago I purchased a Jobo CPE 2 (without "plus") and did some first developments with it a week ago on the easter holidays. Hey Alexandr, just stumbled across your channel a few days ago and immediately subscribed. Great work! I also need to do more color work :-) Just finished setting up my own darkroom some days ago. So gone are the times of occupying the bathroom for photographic reasons ;-) I also have a CPE over there but I am not sure if I am going to use it for prints, because I also have a CAP40 (old Cibachrome machine) that I want to modify for RA4 (new gears for slower processing are ordered already) At home I use a Filmetta (or Durst Color Lab) for film processing. The Filmetta is fully automatic and even pumps the chemistry in and out oft the drum. So you just load your film, chose times and come back 30 minutes later to have your film finished ;-) So I am verry exited to see what is coming up next on our channel. I love your work and enjoyed watching quite some videos here now... Wonderful machine because it is possible to work in a cold room without problems... unfortunatelly prices on eBay are crazy. Jobs was the best and it is the best. Plastic, reels, tanks, all is perfect. No competition with other brands.
You do a better job-o explaining the Yobo system than Jobo themselves. You should look into getting a lift, it makes the system even more productive. It seems as if anything German needs just a few things that are inexplicable. Good job!
Thx, yes, thinking about a lift, but not really like the design of it, probably also requested some modes to it - for now first priority - new darkroom space :D
@@NordicLab Yes- got to get your new lab set up! Saw the latest video earlier. I know what you mean about the lift- its a shame how weak and worthless the lift handle is.
Hi, love your content and toutorials. I just got Jobo 1530 extention tube and Jobo 1520 Uni tank but cant figure out whether I need third part to make it lightproof. You mentioned that top portion has cup inside. Do you know if it is sold separately or is it built in ? May be stupid question but I would appreciate your advise :)
Cup inside - just one of the inserts which you can buy separately. It's for the same system of the drums. It's not really necessary for the paper developments and you don't need it if you have lift on the Jobo CPE
I've been using this CPU for a long time but mainly for c41 and e6. For ra4 and b & w it doesn't make sense to me. The processor is really cool. Regards
Hi Alexkandr, I also use the cpe for film development colour and b/w. I also got the jobo 1500 system with different extensions. For the paper developement I use the jobo expert drum with the special "can" inside as you do on your 1500 series. but for smaller prints the expert drum is too big...you are using your 1500 series but with removed center column (for film) and exchanged that with a smaller "can" for paper development. Can't find this part...not on jobo website nor on eBay...did you print this yourself or am I too stupid to find this part...?

Привет. Вопрос по истощение химии, надеюсь от тебя получить ответ, заранее спасибо. Имеется CPE2 + танк серии 1500 на 5 катушек (35 мм) + химия Tetenal C41. При ротационном способе для бака нужно min. 570 мл. химии. Хватит ли этого объема для корректного (правильного) проявления пленки, при условии что в дальнейшем эта химия будет использоваться повторно еще 3 раза? В инструкции описан литраж по разведению и многоразовому использованию, но только при ручной агитации с полным заполнением бака, что не корректно для машин jobo. В связи с этим возникают вопросы по правильному использованию. не хочется на выходе запороть пленку.
Для 1540 JOBO Multi Tank необходимо 470 мл раствора (www.jobo.com/analog/1540-jobo-multi-tank-), в моем видео вот тут можно найти подробности как я это делаю: th-cam.com/video/MMuCPVU10YM/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Aleksandr%7CNordicLab На практике я развожу 500 мл раствора и использую в таблице из инструкции время как для пяти пленок из расчета на 500 мл. Я лично проявлял до 8 пленок с 500 мл раствора, дальше уже не советую так как время на Blix будет в районе 15-20 минут и цвета будут уже тусклыми. Дерзай!
@@NordicLab прост, еще не приступил к проявки, но голова раскалывается от вопросов))) вопросы касаются правильного прочтения инструкции. изночально я отталкивался от инструкции E-6 где описано что раствор можно использовать трижды, на каждом последующем проявление необходимо лишь увеличивать время каждого этапа. Далее я перешел к инструкции С-41, там подобная табличка с колонками, где в каждой последующей так же описано увеличение шага. Но вверху таблице не описано что это повторное использование раствора к в инструкции E-6, там привязка к катушкам. Я без задней мысли тоже воспринял это как повторение использование раствора и в итоге С-41 можно использовать 4 раза. Сейчас еще раз вернулся к инструкции и нашел текст мелким шрифтом. Первое это про дополнительную стоп ванну (которую ты использовал), а так же по рекомендации высоко чувствительной пленки iso400 и выше, при проявки подобной пленки не рекомендуется повторное использование раствора более 3 раз. В итоге у меня сомнения по правильному использованию полученного раствора: сколько раз, при какой агитации (ручная/машинная), время этапов зависит от объема пленки в бочке?

Nowadays you have some alternative to CPE but not CPP, so yes it’s challenge
I'm an owner of the CPE 2 processor . For the labels i am using a thermic printer with labels water resistant.
