- PCU & DEVELOPMENT UNIT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE Copier Ricoh Aficio MP-C6004 MP-C4504 MPC3504 MP-C3004:
- Open the front cover
- Remove Image transfer front cover
- Remove PCDU cover
- Release the lock of the image transfer contact lever
- Remove PCDU units
Before replacing a PCU, set SP3-701 for that PCU to "1" and switch the power OFF.
Then replace the PCU and switch the power ON.
Before replacing a development unit, set SP3-701 for that development unit to "1" and
switch the power OFF. Then replace the development unit and switch the power ON.
- Remove carefully so as not to damage the part of the rear end block. If the parts are bent or deformed, electrical contact may become poor, and this may cause poor image quality.
- Remove Front end block.
- Remove Rear end block
- Remove Gears, joint
- Separate the PCU and Development Unit.
Precautions when joining the PCU and the development Unit
Note that if these are joined while pressing the charge roller, the cleaning blade may turn over in
the opposite direction to the original. If this happens, toner lines may appear on prints.
Check procedure after replacing
Turn the drum in the direction of the arrows before attaching to the main body, and check that
toner lines do not appear.

There are only two solutions:
1. Replace the development unit.
2. Replace the PCDU.

How do we solve the issue with cartridge error in ricoh 3503
You are using the wrong toner. The toner is similar but not compatible with other models, so better use the toner dedicated to this copier. There is no chip on toner compatibility.
IS THE 04 SERIES BETTER PRINTING QUALITY THAN THE 03 SERIES?
