Thank you, Sensei! It reminds me of the western knife fighting art of Crossada with the bull horns and the Spanish notch on the knife where they would capture and lock the knife up with.

Thank you Sensei. I appreciate your mentioning Chatanyara No Sai. I was able to see the opening, closing and other movements of the kata. This was very helpful. Sincerely and blessings.

Man I love this show, I got a pair of sai 6 months ago wanted some my whole life. My girl asked what I was gonna do with them. I said learn how to use them. They do give your forearms a workout. Much love and can't wait for the next one

Idk anything about Sai or really bladed weapons in general, but this was pretty cool to watch. Its amazing how much thought goes into weaponry and how to use it

Interesting I like the disarming effect you could also seems like the blade would cut his wrist if you run a chance where you could let me watch more it's very interesting

@Chris Thomas question not related to the sai, however I have to ask, where did you get your gi top (the one with the cross stitching on top) from? I’ve been looking for that top for years! It would be nice if I can find it in black with the white cross stitching.

Of course it’s a lot more easier to plate out a counter attack when it’s rehearsed but it’s always going to be a different scenario in a real battle. But I’m going disagree with what he said in regards to short weapons loses to longer weapons every time, it all depends on your mastery of the weapon & techniques .There are Masters who can single handedly disarm an opponent with a weapon.
