is lido deck worth booking and better than other decks? i wonder when the stewards come to set up the sofa bed. (they just come n unfold? if so we better do it outselves as you demonstrated up there :)
I don't know whether it's worth booking a room on the lido deck or not. One advantage I can think of is that it'd be easier to reach the buffet area as well as the pools. It's something that we wouldn't mind experimenting. One potential downside would be that you'd see a lot more people and might hear more noise from the room? The stewards came and set up the sofa bed at dinner time. So when you get back to your room from dinner, it'd be set up already very nicely. They did it just like how hotels would. They unfolded the sofa bed and made a proper bed. They forgot about it the last night though, which to us wasn't a big deal.
The sofa bed. There are a queen bed and a sofa bed. There are two configurations you can choose if I remember correctly. Bunk beds are the other option.
It exceeded my expectations by a lot. It's memory foam or something like that. I slept very well during the voyage. One blanket wasn't enough though. I'd ask for an additional one.
I think it was just a balcony state room. We later on tried an interior stateroom (th-cam.com/video/hYZ6G1trzt8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4UBsnt2eqppDACD6) and felt it was good enough. If it is possible to save a significant amount of money with an interior room, definitely consider it.
