Be nice to my friends in the comment section. We really opened up here. Hope you appreciate the video I love you all. ALSO I'm posting an EXCLUSIVE question that didn't make the video on my INSTAGRAM! So follow me on there! I'll be posting it tomorrow at 5pm :) @DavidAlvareeezy Follow me :)
Ryan, your fans or core audience are always happy to see you, especially if we are specific to youtube like me, I remember my first time seeing you on BF vs GF , and I've loved your personality and realism since your days in Philly
I love how Alex was acting like he isn’t a big part of people’s childhood and early teen years. He’s literally one of the first youtubers I ever watched when I was like 12/13. I loved hearing everyones perspectives. Definitely got a huge insight of how youtubers feel about their job. Great video David!! You’ve been killing it lately.
Same! In my 5th grade class when I was 10 - we had TH-cam time (yeah - our teacher was awesome!) and we always played Wassabi production videos! Richard and Rolenda were iconic.
you can actually see Alex and Ryan experience through the way the answer questions and loved that because it shows maturity and growth in a healthy way. and David this is the best episode yet because it was so deep and relevant to all of us as humans.
The 9-5 question…. I think it comes down to financial stability. I’m not discrediting the work some content creators do, but like Nezza said you can comfortably make money in an instant whereas many people in a 9-5 work just as hard or harder for no where near that. And if you are unhappy in your job or are struggling with your mental/physical health, most people can’t just quit. TH-camrs have the luxury of taking a break and having more than enough money to do so. That being said, it was cool seeing the different perspectives and takes on these questions. Great video, David!
I completely agree. I hate my job more than anything but without anything else lined up I can’t just quit whenever I want. I need that financial stability for student loans/rent/car payments etc. And content creators are still making money even when they take a break cuz they’re still getting some kind of views on whatever was posted before the break. Some people with 9-5s don’t get vacation time. It’s a brutal world
Completely agree with this sentiment, imo it’s a luxury to have TH-cam be your full time job cuz even tho it still requires time and effort I can’t imagine it being more draining and demanding than most customer service jobs as well as workplace dynamics, bosses etc
Agreed, nezza and ryan had great points. Everything they said, nailed it. Although i see alex's view, that stress of dealing with with the public vs being able to put your phone down for a 5 min break and not being fired by your boss for walking away from a 9-5 work issue. Also some jobs 9-5 are on call if you're a manager or medical or anything that involves that. employees are on call for carpet cleaning emergencies. Could you imagine getting a call from your boss at 12-1am because someones basement exploded with water. You cant ignore that unless you dont want that job in the morning. But I've haven't been a youtuber for 8 yrs. Its still nice to hear alex's opinion on why though.
completely agree! i’ve been working 9-5 since i started high school and it is mentally, physically taxing because i am not allowed to be unemployed pretty much or i will not survive. i can’t pay rent, insurance, bills etc. i WISH i had the confidence to do social media but i don’t even have enough to purchase a decent camera lol
I still think having a 9-5 job is more difficult than being TH-cam/influencer. The money to labour ratio is insane. The physical, mental, and social challenges people with 9-5 have is rough. Also a 9-5 is a plethora of hard labour jobs, not just retail.
Exactly. Alex kept talking about his restaurant job but that’s easier than a typical 9-5. Most of them, if not all of them, haven’t had a 9-5. So it’s hard to compare things when you don’t truly know the other side. The same goes for people that have never had a job creating content. But it all comes down to the money in the end
9-5 is def harder in terms of physicality. The mental aspect of TH-cam is what's really draining. Going to a job everyday is actually easier on the mind than TH-cam and social media in general. They are both difficult but in their own ways. 9-5 isn't for everyone just like TH-cam and social media isn't for everyone.
Yes AND no one brought up the emotional/mental issue of having to deal with employers who do NOT care, support, or even think about their employees and put them through absolute hell without thinking twice, and most of the time there’s not much the employees can do
No one even mentioned healthcare jobs, social workers, teachers, anything like that where the amount of work done or stress they’re under compared to what they get paid? I just wish they compared or talked about more 9-5 jobs than what they personally have held
I discovered David recently but his content is genuinely addicting. I absolutely adore these videos and his content makes me appreciate so many different people every time I watch a new video. You have such an amazing friend group and you guys have fun while staying serious and respectful. good job guys.
He’s entertaining but the fact that he decided to make one cut video or jubilee stile video down to the same exact format and saw it did good and then decided to stop making any other content. He’s basically making no effort to make something original. Just took another channel’s idea and decided to make it with his friends. Which would be okay bud he hadn’t completely changed his whole content to basically stolen format. There’s nothing original about this content , jubilee & cut basically do the work for him, he doesn’t have to think of any original ideas it’s like perfect for him I guess
I was surprised to see he was a TH-cam since 2012. I've had a TH-cam account since 2007 and I've watched TH-cam every day since then and I only found his channel like 5 days ago
This is so crazy because it did not feel like an hour at all, I was so entertained and engaged in everyone's answers and the discussion and it helps seeing familiar faces like Alex and Ryan who I've watched for years...all the different perspectives and journeys , it just shows that even with that luck your life can play out so differently, I just love hearing all about the behind the scenes and everyone's dreams and pressures and fears. No one talks about these things enough without a certain wall on and I think the discussion aspect of this helps break down those walls. These videos aren't just entertainment but inspiration and guides for future creatives out there, thank you for yet another video david.
This group of people was so much fun to watch together, everyone’s different insights but also not being the best of friends and still getting along really well is so cute 🥰
I just gotta say, David, there is NOT ONE video you have put out that has not made me laugh my ass off. I enjoy your content and this friend group in general and admire how wholesome all of you are. Keep doing what you are doing because as long as you love what you're doing, I love watching it :)
The TH-camr vs. 9-5 question was interesting, but strange to listen too. There are soo many types of 9-5s that no one took into consideration… office jobs are not always consumer facing, not on your feet all day, very up to you, and also creative. As a Creative in marketing I would choose my job everyday, but that’s because I love it. I feel comparably luck to have my job as I assume they feel for their position. The only point of view I felt was super accurate was Manny’s. Knowing their privilege of pay vs. work is definitely a good thing to point out in discussion. Also, in a 9-5, if I stopped thinking about my job the second I clocked out I would not be good at my job. I constantly have to be learning and developing my skills in order to be good at my job.
Agreed. Took a very limited range of 9-5's into consideration. And if you have pride & passion for your work and want to work towards something like a promotion, you often have to do stuff after hours like overtime, research, relevant courses, staying up to date with new regulations / trends / etc.
Right. They said TH-cam was hard or harder because you always need to be learning and they compared it to a waiter job where you memorize a menu and do the same job each day. I work at a marketing company in a more senior level position and Id be F'ed if I didn't constantly try to learn new things and improve myself. That's how you get promotions and advance.
i’m so excited for your videos lately, you can see how much work david has been putting into them and they just give me so much serotonin. i always love how david makes sure everyone feels included, i love that❤️❤️

@@xWishinqOnStars it’s not like he’s copying someone it’s just literally a video idea so what? Don’t like it don’t watch anyone videos ever because technically every TH-camr “copies” others
@@xWishinqOnStars i didn’t say it was original content, but as someone who’s been watching their friend group of youtubers for a while and the jubilee videos, i prefer these bc it was nice to hear people i actually enjoy to watch open up more and hear the behind the scenes, jubilees video ideas are about hearing people open up about their opinions on things in a fun way, but go off!
I think Nezza really hit the nail in the head when it came to the 9-5 question. With youtube the ratio of work you put in to how much money you make is nowhere near what it would be in a 9-5. The thing with saying that being in a 9-5 is confirmed income is that the income you have is like minimum wage lol you dont have a livable amount of money right when you start waitressing or anything like that. I think youtube has way more flexibility, like Manny said, that if you took a break for a while you would still be living comfortably but if you did that with a 9-5 it would be terrifying. loved the video and the perspectives it brought in from smaller or bigger to older or newer creators etc. great work david!!
I love and respect all of these creators fully, and I learned so much from this video!! However, some responses about the 9-5 irked me and here's why. Yes, an influencers job is never really over, no clocking in or clocking out, and the thought that you could fall off and stop making money at any moment is extremely terrifying. But, same can be said for a doctor/nurse/surgeon (being on call), teachers, and a plethora of other 9-5s. Teachers, for example, can clock out, but they are never really "off." Constantly lesson planning, worrying about students, dealing with angry parents, grading papers, attending meetings and trainings, helping students find their next meals (in some cases), being an emotional support system for some students, progress reports, mental and physical exhaustion from being verbally and sometimes physically abused by students, constantly feeling like you cannot do anything right, and so so so much more. All this, and teachers are still severely underpaid for the amount of work put into their jobs. The same can be said about many other 9-5s as well. So, yes, being an influencer seems to be extremely challenging, but I don't think it is more difficult than a 9-5. But, of course, I'm not an influencer. Just my opinion:) Keep up the great work, David!! You are absolutely killing it!
Right. People with upper level roles also are always constantly thinking about work. Sometimes that take work calls during their vacations. Aaron has said he busted his ass in college to help his family after seeing his parents work two full time jobs so im surprised Alex could have such a stupid answer. Aaron is definitely the better person. Even when it comes to relationships, Alex is always the immature one and oblivious one.
thank you so much for saying that! I completely agree, they were only thinking of specific 9-5 jobs (like a waiter in alex's case). I am a veterinary student. I am going to school for 8+ years to work 8am-8pm many week days and weekends and even when you're not at the animal hospital, you will constantly be thinking about patients. On days off, you will get texts "your surgical patient came in today, something went wrong." Even when you're off, you're never really off. I am going into so much debt, studying constantly, sacrificing my free time, and missing out on activities with friends/families for a career that I love, but I will never even make half the amount of money as a lot of influencers. Both 9-5 and influencer jobs have pros and cons, but I believe most 9-5 jobs are more difficult than being an influencer.
Yes, exactly. They forgot that people have to go to college for many years and that’s means studying, all nighters and so much more. It is physically and mentally draining.
Exactly this, I respect and realize they do a lot of work but at the same time they get paid as much or more so than those who provide essential jobs for us and our children be that blue collar back breaking work or teaching our children sometimes a group of 30-40 kids. It just comes off a little entitled. /:
It’s so cool to see so many different perspectives of the same profession. Manny with the beauty guru side of things experienced all of dramageddon a few years ago, nezza as a youtuber who is also a singer and dancer at heart and wants to do that more, devonte who started as a smaller streamer for years before becoming bigger with the camboys and starting TH-cam in LA, Tara who started off as a literal O2L stan and is now friends with Kian and JC, Alex who’s been a youtuber before “youtuber” was even a word, and everyone else im too lazy to write. It’s crazy how this group of people is so similar yet so different and who better to show that than David alvareezy himself.

Tara really gives me hope because we’re around the same age and we grew up watching similar people and seeing her being so successful and happy and being friends with people like Alex Wasabi, KnJ, Ryan and Manny who we truly did grow up idolizing it just makes me so happy and makes me think oh maybe i can do this too
I honestly haven’t watched Tara much before these videos, but she is so relatable with her opinions and perspective on her life and journey through TH-cam. Thanks for giving her a voice and letting her be heard David. This is why I love TH-cam. TH-cam is so diverse and humble. So much talent. So much love for all you guys. ❤️
I love Alex on David's channel because he's always so genuine, insightful and so much more himself here! Props to everyone in this vid and David for the amazing video
What Manny said about the 9 to 5 is important and true. Kind of shows how out of reality some other TH-camrs can be. And Alex always has some insightful thoughts and views. He's awesome!
Didn’t even realize this was over an hour bc of how interesting you guys were. Seeing how different everyone views the questions was eye-opening and was truly something amazing to witness.
I honestly loved seeing Alex’s perspective and seeing how he interacted with the other and younger youtubers! Please continue putting Alex in your videos and Alex I believe you should take our channel in this type of direction I and I’m sure many others would really enjoy it!
The fact that you did get such a diverse group of TH-camrs (from OG’s to newbies) in this video makes me so happy. They were vulnerable and gracious to each other even if they were completely opposite sides of that spectrum. It helps civilians, like myself, see a little BTS. THANK YOU DAVD FOR THIS. TOP NOTCH WORK♥️
I can see how being a youtuber can be hard, obviously any job will have its ups and downs.. But worse than a 9-5? No.. Majority of people working 9-5s are experiencing low income, working multiple jobs, struggling to eat, suffering from depression, and so so much more. They didn't even take into account nurses, doctors or teachers who are typically never actually "off work". Not to mention most people can't even take vacations anymore let alone take off for a year? Even missing a few days can resort to not making rent or bills. Hard? Yes. Harder? No. I feel like some people get too wrapped up in their privilege sometimes.
Aint no way having a 9 to 5 working 6 out of 7 days a week, barely getting off days, having to be present even when you dont like it and being in the same place for work all the time, is easier than making videos you enjoy creating
Gonna say this now, my favorite TH-cam video of all time. So many perspectives and so much laughter. I absolutely loved the part where Alex wasabi gave his input on the word “relevant” and gave some encouraging words to devonte for the future. Always gonna support this group of people because you all bring positive energy. The content you guys have made has changed our lives, creating that bond and the memories will forever live on something that views can’t account for.
this is one of my favorite videos you’ve made David, just being able to see the way everyone thinks is so special! I also wanna say that I really love the way Alex thinks and how truthful he was in this, I sometimes feel like on his channel he might up his energy which is completely fine I watch everything he uploads, but this just seemed way more like what I’d imagine it is just hanging out w him without the cameras if that makes sense!

I love all the love Alex gets from other creators. Honestly I’ve NEVER heard one bad thing about him. And I like how he’s a humble dude with a healthy perspective of all this. He’s gotten so big on YT that he could easily have let it get to his head but it doesn’t seem like he ever has.
im loving the direction these videos are going, bringing people together and growing/learning from one another! thats what people want! and because people love genuine, honest and open people to connect with, WE as the audience love it too!!
I truly enjoyed this video and didn’t even realize it was over an hour long. Thank you to the entire group for being honest and raw. You didn’t have to be and you don’t owe us any of these answers. Thank you David for putting this together, you have released some great videos but this is honestly my favorite video yet.

I feel the “9-5” sooo much. I’m a nurse, and have worked through this pandemic making barely enough to pay all my bills. And yet you see people posting videos or mukbangs or even just vlogs hanging out making an insane amount of money.
AN HOUR?! DAVIDDDDDD. You are spoiling us and I’m not mad at it! This video is everything. Great conversations. Great laughs. I love it! So proud of you!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ngl I fell in love with Alex all over again after this. I used to watch him so much in the past and I was distanced from his channel over the years. But just hearing him like this again, listening to his honest thoughts about life in general brought be back. I was reminded again why I love him and his content and I'll continue to support him. Also, it was nice hearing he reads comments. I just hope you know how much you've been a good influence on so many lives, Alex! Thanks David and this friend group for giving us such good times. ♡
I never comment on YT videos.. but I have to say the ending made me a little emotional. It felt so real and genuine! I went into the video just excited to see my all favorite creators in the same room. But I didn’t think I’d end the video having so much more compassion for everyone involved! I love watching TH-cam because for me it’s an escape and I feel like all you guys I watch are me real friends you just, like don’t know me lol. This video definitely did just that and more. It yanked the heart strings in such a comforting way. Idk hard to explain. Just loved it!!!!
Honestly, I never thought I would watch the whole thing only because it's a whole hour long. However, I was hooked from the beginning because I love how authentic, genuine and transparent you all were in the video and are in general! This video actually is a big win for me! You all were very honest and poured your hearts out, it felt like you all were in your comfortable zones which made this video a massive success! Kudos to David for bringing these TH-camrs, who happen to also be your friends, and for shedding light on the reality of who a TH-camr is, which is a human being trying to make a living out of something they enjoy ♥️ Sending you all much love and positive energy! Xx
Alex: TH-camr since 2006 Ryan: TH-camr since 2008 David: TH-camr since 2012 Manny: TH-camr since 2014 Nezza: TH-camr since 2018 Tara: TH-camr since 2019 Devonte: TH-camr since 2020
I’m not a youtuber, but I def do think a 9-5 is a lot harder. Like nezza said the physical work of standing all day and people calling out is much harder than sitting down, or what a lot of youtubers do is have someone else edit for them. Then like nezza said u have customers who feel like they can say whatever they want and it also bring mental health down, and also being paid so little from these 9-5jobs. And the pay for TH-cam is much nicer, also there are yotubers out there that have created the dumbest videos and still get money….it can be a debate but I’ll always agree that 9-5 is harder. Ryan’s point too about u can’t delete a person standing in front of you, I mean like u can but you’ll go to jail ahah. Also even though I understand David’s point of time management, I think when I work a 9-5 and my friends also have 9-5 it’s much harder to coordinate. Cause shifts are soooo different
Plus I think it depends on the jobs too like they talked about retail and stuff bcuz that's what they had experience with but there's so much more out there. Like what about being a friggin doctor??? You are responsible for the health and livelihood of others, which I feel could be very stressful. In general there's definitely a lot more they could touch on in this regard I think Alex's point about actually making it as a youtuber is the strongest one in favour of youtubers because getting big enough to a point where you can have a job is probably the hardest part. But once you get passed that, I feel like most 9-5 jobs can be more taxing
I think they only talked about jobs that people generally don’t expect to do long term, and that may not require extra time after the work day is over. They didn’t talk about careers, or the jobs that emulate the phrase “your work doesn’t end when you go home”. I spend hours of my night after coming home from work think about, talking about, and researching for work. If I “clocked out” when I left my workplace, I would not be good at what I do.
43:00 the entire time they were on this topic was heart warming especially with alex really trying to share his perspective to devonte and everyone chiming in
I love hearing all the conversations and POVs in this one because it shows others that just because someone is labelled as a "youtuber" or a "tiktoker," "influencer", or whatever - they are still human and have fears and values just like the rest of us. It also opens up the viewers eyes to see what creators think about behind the scenes of videos and the content they post.
I love all of you but Alex has to be the sweetest soul on TH-cam. He's so confident and kind hearted and it shows in how he treats people. David keep up with the videos. You're killing it!
Can you do this with regular "9-5" people and ask them the opposite questions? I just think it'd be interesting to hear what "regular people" think about TH-camrs and Tiktokers.
the 9-5 discussion im loling....im a resident physician and I have never worked less than a 50 hour work week (and those are my good weeks). I'm technically "7-5" but you come home and study, do other work related stuff, look up patients...you don't fully ever clock out so imma have to disagree on that one lmao. doctors make less than minimum wage for the hours we work and the burnout we felt as physicians during the pandemic/in general...im sorry but im going to have to disagree that youtube has a harder mental toll than some of the "9-5" jobs lol
This has to be one of the best videos I’ve watched on TH-cam. I thoroughly enjoyed it as I got to see all the different perspectives from TH-camrs I’ve been watching for so long. I hope all of you know that we really appreciate the effort y’all put into your content and we love you for it. Thank you for always making our day wherever we are. Also, I hope every single one of you know that you will always be relevant to the people that matter and you shouldn’t feel irrelevant.

I love how genuine everyone was with their answers! Everyone was honest and truly showed their personality. Love you all and keep doing what you’re doing 💕
I have always respected all you guys, but this video made me appreciate and respect you guys even more. You guys are big hearted, talented, hardworking, and VERY funny individuals!!! Much love to all you guys in this video and yalls friend group! ❤️
I LOVED this. The answers were all so honest and real and different. Sometimes "influcencers" seem like they're afraid to tell how they honestly feel so this was really nice to watch. I like all of these people and have watched each of them in one way or another and it was nice to see each of their views.
Honestly love the big range in this video. You got people from different corners of TH-cam as well as different years of experience and range of followers!
This whole series has been amazing but this video really hit different. How vulnerable and honest everyone was.. i already liked everyone but i gained such a new respect for all of these people and social media creaters in general. I hope everyone can learn something from this, honestly should be shown in school to teach kids that people on social media are people just the same. So many lessons to learn from this. Just such a good video wow i cant get over it. David you should be so proud of yourself for this you really did something here.... cant wait to see what you come out with next!
I just love how humble this video is. They all have different opions, because they experienced different things and have different perspectives, but they treat eachother with great respect:))
Alex is just over this internet shit. I honestly love how raw he’s being he’s like, it is what it is. And maybe it’s because Alex is the longest standing TH-camr there, but I think he adds a lot of value tot he conversation. He answered opposite what I thought he would on every question, to me that says something about social media platforms.
I appreciate y’all’s perspectives and vulnerabilities. Y’all have brought me priceless smiles and laughs during some hard days. I just want SO f’n badly to hug each and every one of you and shield y’all from any rude and hateful comments. Y’all are so much more than just views, comments and what you share online. Y’all are such beautiful, dynamic spirits. I hope you remember that. It’s a privilege getting to see glimpses of your heart and soul through your creative journeys. I wish you all good energy and love. 💙
These are literally my favorite videos to watch on TH-cam now, esop with this core group of people, knowing how wholesome the group is and how they are all genuine friends and not just collaborators really makes watching the videos that much more fun to watch and helps you understand and appreciate their perspectives more. Props to David and his team, and to everyone in these videos, I also like that you don't stick to just your core friend group and how each video has people that you may not expect to see like Manny or Ayla from the last video. TH-camrs are people too and they don't have to let us into their lives like this but I appreciate how vulnerable they make themselves for videos like this. I am genuinely just so happy when I see a video like this from David or even Kevin's game show videos, or Kian and JC's longer form content now because it comes off as genuine and you know that they put in a lot of love and effort into the videos. Much love to all of you 🤍
wow... David, you're such an amazing creator I didn't even feel that whole hour go by and I wanted more, thank you David for making such amazing real content, this is the stuff that matters and inspires people, and I love watching you guys have fun and goof around just as much as you guys being vulnerable and honest Also for everyone in this video especially dave and tara, I watch all of your guys' videos even the ones that "don't do well" and I enjoy all of them, so never be discouraged by view count because even then, your content has an influence on a smaller scale that still matters too
I loved this video so much and think it's one of your best yet. There was a lot of perspective from newer TH-camrs to those who have been doing it for a long time and I think that shows us what kind of challenges everyone who decides to do this kind of job faces. Plus everyone you surround yourself with is hilarious and genuine. Always look forward to your vids David. You'll never be irrelevant :)
i loved this so much, it's good to see people who i truly enjoy talk about things that's not their content & shows their real people who have feelings! love you all

an hour well spent. i absolutely loved this video. everyone in the group offered a different perspective & it really drew a picture of the content creator experience. i loved everyone’s honesty & open-mindedness. can’t wait to see what else is in store ☺️
Yep! I work my ass off everyday 9-5 and it’s so mentally and physically hard on my body. My back, knees and feet are absolutely shot from lifting residents at a nursing home and being on my feet all day. No one will ever ever ever convince me being a youtuber is harder than a 9-5.
I love seeing the different point of views of everyone in this video! David’s video have become my favorite to watch. This opens a new light about TH-camrs and the work they have to put in so I find that interesting. I do have to say though I work a “9-5”, I work as a teacher with children all day for no money and I never clock out I have to go home and grade and plan. My wife also works a 9-5 and she is required to roll over their phones to her cellphone every night. We’re doing all of this for barely any money.
The 9-5 question annoyed me so much because when I was working in agriculture breaking my back in the hot ass whether,in the rain no matter what just to help out my parents and go to school and then they say TH-cam is harder bruh aint no way
I just watched an entire hour of David and I want more... you are incredible and I hope you know how incredible you are!!! I am beyond proud of everything you've done!! I love this friend group, seeing Manny outside of makeup and beauty was soooo fun! Love Manny, but David's video made me love him wayyyyy more!!! Ryan and Alex being here made me so happy, I miss seeing weekly videos of them! Love love love Tara and Nezza, they are so different with what they create yet similar in a weirdly good way! and I am so excited to see the future of Dev & Sav, they are two great guys and they honestly deserve the very best... Honestly, all of them deserve the very best... I love and appreciate that David invited someone that was here from 2006 at the beginning of youtube, someone that started last year, and people in between. We get to hear different perspectives and viewpoints! I love that they are all unique in their own ways, yet they are a part of a friend group that connect and support each other. and they are all wonderfully great people and you just want the very best for them all!!!
*This video really opened my eyes to what y’all go through as creators. Have so much more respect for each one of y’all. You should all be proud of how far you’ve come. Keep kicking ass.* ❤️

this video was so good. I really felt the connection, the vibe and what every single youtuber was/is going through w each questions. It’s such a cool insider perspective that people don’t usually get to see. loved this video.
I truly enjoy watching/listening to these conversations. I love how most of the conversations (if not all) were out into this to hear every single perspective in life itself. Alex was definitely one of the first youtubers I got addicted to watching with Wassabi Productions. Hearing his side and how optimistic he is in these situations was moving to me and everyone else. Great video overall.
Loved this video! It was a good group, you were all being so vulnerable and honest. I liked that there was a mix of older and newer creators. I used to love the content of one particular creator and then unsubscribed for a while (I just didn't feel I was the demographic for that person anymore) but lately they have been popping up in your content again and I am reinvested. Thank you for helping everyone connect more David :)

I am watching this 2 years late but I love the way they all spoke to Ryan to try and make him feel better. It showed they were great friends who care. I just love the support and love from this video.
david this video is incredible. it’s awesome to see some of my favorite youtubers talk about deep stuff like this. it’s also nice to get the different perspectives based on how long they’ve been doing this. this is an amazing video and i’m glad you made it
I loved that it was so spread out on when people started TH-cam…. Like it went from Alex and Ryan to Tara and Devonte!!! Definitely opens everyone’s eyes a bit to the social media world and how they feel about questions other people have who aren’t in social media. It was so fun to see Tara and Devonte say they both watch Alex and he gets surprised because sometimes people do what they enjoy and don’t realize how “big” they are. I love these videos and always look forward to it! This friend group also has my sense of humor where we just roast each other but don’t mean it. I also feel like having that type of relationship with your viewers builds a bond. I hope Devonte knows he’ll find his family of supporters soon enough!!
It’s crazy how much i love this video, never commented on one before but the way it was so lighthearted but it also touched on so many things i’ve always wondered about how youtubers think. i just started watching david but i absolutely love his production of videos. at first i didn’t watch it because of the length but i started and i didn’t realize it was an hour. i would love to see this again with other youtubers. it felt really raw and like everyone was agreeing and it was respectful the whole time.
if youtuber had an actual planning like "i have to start work at 9, i have a one hour break for lunch, and need to get off at 5" you guys would be happier! the "youtuber never stop" is just an "excuse", you CAN stop, and i think it would be healthier if you'd stop! but you're always working with friends and maybe you're not being the most productive you can while doing so, so you have to do extra hours at night, between a party and a movie premiere... also, i know it's work, but some people are so out of touch from reality that they're trying to guilt trip their audience into thinking filming videos with your friend and laughing is hard work! i'm not saying it's nothing, but you can't except normal people that hate their jobs (most of) will sympathize with you bc you have so much pressure to be funny on camera... i understand the pressure of being on social media, and i'm not hating on anyone that is in this video, but some comments are so out of touch from reality, so "LA bubble" like, that no one can empathize with your feelings! most ig stories/vlogs from those people are getting a coffee (not at home, why would you? lol), getting lunch, sunny LA or "i love the rain" LA, look at my dog, getting drunk at a party with friends... i swear taking a pic of this is not the "real job" people think it is! some people are posting the same vlog every week with a 2min sponsored thing and the actual content only consist of doing their hair, having coffee with a friend, showing your cute dog and tasting a new wine lol! and i'm not saying i could do better or that it is easy, but most people wouldn't consider posting an ig story, real work, and rightfully so! of course working with brands, posting content, editing videos, coming up with ideas..., is hard, but the hardest thing about your job is the own pressure you put yourself in and the "LA bubble" getting you completely out of reality! i like everyone in this video, please just turn off your phone sometime! i swear the pressure is mostly in your head, if it's too much turn it off!
David, you are doing SUCH a great job with these videos. I really love this style with all the friends together and doing these more “compare and contrast” sort of ideas and sharing viewpoints. If this was any other type of content that’s over an hour long that someone put out, I would not be watching it. These videos you have done just fly by. So fun to watch.
Alex has the most genuine & sweet heart. You can tell. I’ve been watching you since you started & I’m so happy that you are still so caring & humble. Keep being amazing!! 🥺♥️ (Talking directly at Alex bc he says he reads all the comments 😭) Also, as a Latina, I can tell you Latin@s would watch you too! I think every ethnicity looked up to you!
I’ve been watching Ryan since he was in SDK!! Watching creators for that long makes you love them as a person not just for their art. There are other creators I have watched and don’t connect with anymore, but when you’ve been watching someone that long, no matter what they do or don’t post you’ll always love. It’s been apart of my childhood and adulthood now, and has had an impact on my life. All of you are loved by us and the art you create is a plus
56:37 whenever they’re talking about how nice of a person Alex is and how he’ll pay for people’s bills because he’s so kind hearted… brings me back to KnJ’s freezer video when he offered to pay for Dom’s rent 🥺
I have absolutely been LOVING these videos, and this type of content that you’ve been creating. Q&A’s are cool to learn about the influencers you’re watching but to me sometimes they can just be boring, but these have felt so real and raw and sometimes personal and vulnerable and it’s amazing to get to see different sides of these awesome people and also makes me want to get to know some of the ones that I haven’t watched before or haven’t watched in a while and want to get back into the life that they show us at least. Really phenomenal job David. Also, I was really excited to see your answers as well since you typically ask great questions. Man.. everybody in this video makes me just want to be friends with them in real life. To me, y’alls friends group is my friend group. Y’all are extremely blessed to have found amazing people to be friends with that are evidently staying in your lives and that’s really great. ... lol maybe one day I’ll be so lucky
This was very insightful and honest. Also, I always find it very interesting when white Latinos feel upset or hurt when they're called white. Like, us Latinos are not one skin tone or ethnicity. I'm brown and I have a sister who's white. We have the same parents but genetics be like that. Latinos are Brown, white and Black. I feel it's important to distinguish that because colorism is alive and well.
Truly a beautiful video filled with amazing people. So proud of everyone in the video and how hardworking each of you are! Seeing the different perspectives and personal experiences is really an eye opener. Love this video David, thank you for this.
Be nice to my friends in the comment section. We really opened up here. Hope you appreciate the video I love you all. ALSO I'm posting an EXCLUSIVE question that didn't make the video on my INSTAGRAM! So follow me on there! I'll be posting it tomorrow at 5pm :) @DavidAlvareeezy Follow me :)

thanks for having me on this one david, I always appreciate this kind of conversation.
Ryan I saw you on someone’s channel and subscribed to yours. I love your mind and the way that you explain your opinions. I can tell you’re special
you’re so eloquent
Ryan, your fans or core audience are always happy to see you, especially if we are specific to youtube like me, I remember my first time seeing you on BF vs GF , and I've loved your personality and realism since your days in Philly
I’m obsessed with you just from watching you in videos…. Like you’re adorable
Your one of my favs Ryan! Loved you on reality house

Agreed, such an honest video th-cam.com/users/shortswOkJ6dKzfqo?feature=share
you can actually see Alex and Ryan experience through the way the answer questions and loved that because it shows maturity and growth in a healthy way. and David this is the best episode yet because it was so deep and relevant to all of us as humans.
i agree with you 100%
'Deep and relevant to us as humans'🤔 Perspectives are a trip. It's all about what your experience has been in life, I suppose.
this was honestly such a great day
it truly was papo :)
I thought she was gonna say "this was honestly not a funny video" lol
Very great point from someone who’s worked customer service for 7 years. 9-5 can be ROUGH. My mental health has suffered a lot from some of these jobs
@@jamiez.3742 Is his restaurant job his 9-5 job? because that's not a 9-5 job...
Same like I found David’s channel a week ago and rewatched all his videos.
same! just a few days ago i started watching him & ive watched so many now
He’s entertaining but the fact that he decided to make one cut video or jubilee stile video down to the same exact format and saw it did good and then decided to stop making any other content.
@@danielamour4721 i just said this on another video. Funny the first spectrum video had to be on "TH-camrs".
Didn't even realize its an hour long. 37 minutes in and I thought it had been like, 10 minutes
Wtf. I didn’t know if was an hour long till this comment. Wow
The only 1 hour video I watched Fully is this one😂
This group of people was so much fun to watch together, everyone’s different insights but also not being the best of friends and still getting along really well is so cute 🥰
I just gotta say, David, there is NOT ONE video you have put out that has not made me laugh my ass off. I enjoy your content and this friend group in general and admire how wholesome all of you are. Keep doing what you are doing because as long as you love what you're doing, I love watching it :)
100% agree
Seriously always smiling throughout
Same gurl! So funny
Someone needs to give Alex a big hug for being so genuine and humble 😭♥️
Alex has soo much insight! He's been in the game for so long yet still maintains a positive outlook somehow - and I admire that about him.
It's called acting
@@alas2210 lol, all his friends always say how genuine and kind he is. It’s not acting if they all know him personally and praise his character

I totally agree plus some 9-5 jobs don’t have guaranteed hours. Like for my job at a small business, I sometimes get hours cut so paychecks vary.
Totally. I’m scared to take even one day off and then not make money for just that one day. It’s already hard enough to pay all my bills
I agree! My mind instantly went to field workers fora 9-5 type job and in comparison TH-cam is so much easier!
I love Ryan he’s always so true to his words and I just love how genuine he is ☺️
It’s so cool to see so many different perspectives of the same profession.

He did a really good job getting a range of people!!
i feel like this comment should be pinned !! couldn’t have said it better
Tara really gives me hope because we’re around the same age and we grew up watching similar people and seeing her being so successful and happy and being friends with people like Alex Wasabi, KnJ, Ryan and Manny who we truly did grow up idolizing it just makes me so happy and makes me think oh maybe i can do this too
I totally agree!
love you david!
I loved your opinion about TH-cam being your passion and about how you do wether you made money or not I admire that type of work/personality 🥀✨🥀🥀
I love you Tara so much you motivate me so much
@@nayaaamee no literally same
I honestly haven’t watched Tara much before these videos, but she is so relatable with her opinions and perspective on her life and journey through TH-cam.
This video gave me closure on thoughts I have on being a “TH-camr” I watch almost everyone in this video so I loved hearing their thoughts 💗💗
I also wanna say that I really love the way Alex thinks and how truthful he was in this, I sometimes feel like on his channel he might up his energy which is completely fine I watch everything he uploads, but this just seemed way more like what I’d imagine it is just hanging out w him without the cameras if that makes sense!

im loving the direction these videos are going, bringing people together and growing/learning from one another! thats what people want! and because people love genuine, honest and open people to connect with, WE as the audience love it too!!

Damn, I didn't even realize it was that long. So good.
Kudos to David for bringing these TH-camrs, who happen to also be your friends, and for shedding light on the reality of who a TH-camr is, which is a human being trying to make a living out of something they enjoy ♥️
Sending you all much love and positive energy! Xx
Alex: TH-camr since 2006
Ryan: TH-camr since 2008
David: TH-camr since 2012
Manny: TH-camr since 2014
Nezza: TH-camr since 2018
Tara: TH-camr since 2019
Devonte: TH-camr since 2020
I’m not a youtuber, but I def do think a 9-5 is a lot harder. Cause shifts are soooo different
agreed
Plus I think it depends on the jobs too like they talked about retail and stuff bcuz that's what they had experience with but there's so much more out there. Like what about being a friggin doctor??? You are responsible for the health and livelihood of others, which I feel could be very stressful. In general there's definitely a lot more they could touch on in this regard
I think Alex's point about actually making it as a youtuber is the strongest one in favour of youtubers because getting big enough to a point where you can have a job is probably the hardest part.
The way Devonte is quieter and non assertive and David brings him into the conversation constantly, its dang cute
Agree! I sure hope the internet doesn’t ruin Devonte
Agreeeddd!!
I love all of you but Alex has to be the sweetest soul on TH-cam. He's so confident and kind hearted and it shows in how he treats people. David keep up with the videos. You're killing it!
David thank you so much for inviting to be in this video definitely learned a lot from everyone!!
-Dev
Can you do this with regular "9-5" people and ask them the opposite questions? I just think it'd be interesting to hear what "regular people" think about TH-camrs and Tiktokers.
What I love the most about this video is how genuine and human it is. Thank you for being vulnerable
the 9-5 discussion im loling....im a resident physician and I have never worked less than a 50 hour work week (and those are my good weeks).
Perfect timing, was just looking for something to watch and David always comes thru with the good quality content. Love it 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
relatable
I can totally relate to this 👏🏼💚
This has to be one of the best videos I’ve watched on TH-cam. I thoroughly enjoyed it as I got to see all the different perspectives from TH-camrs I’ve been watching for so long. I hope all of you know that we really appreciate the effort y’all put into your content and we love you for it. Thank you for always making our day wherever we are.
I like all of these people and have watched each of them in one way or another and it was nice to see each of their views.
devonte was adorable, manny was endeering, ryan was funny and david was almost being funny

Much love to all of you 🤍
wow... David, you're such an amazing creator I didn't even feel that whole hour go by and I wanted more, thank you David for making such amazing real content, this is the stuff that matters and inspires people, and I love watching you guys have fun and goof around just as much as you guys being vulnerable and honest
Also for everyone in this video especially dave and tara, I watch all of your guys' videos even the ones that "don't do well" and I enjoy all of them, so never be discouraged by view count because even then, your content has an influence on a smaller scale that still matters too
I loved this video so much and think it's one of your best yet.
Devonte just seems like such a sweet soul, everyone was so genuine. I loved this video David!
i loved this so much, it's good to see people who i truly enjoy talk about things that's not their content & shows their real people who have feelings! love you all

an hour well spent. i absolutely loved this video. everyone in the group offered a different perspective & it really drew a picture of the content creator experience. i loved everyone’s honesty & open-mindedness. can’t wait to see what else is in store ☺️
sorry no one is ever gonna convince me that being a youtuber is harder than a 9-5 come on now lmao
Forrealll!!!
Yep! I work my ass off everyday 9-5 and it’s so mentally and physically hard on my body. My back, knees and feet are absolutely shot from lifting residents at a nursing home and being on my feet all day. No one will ever ever ever convince me being a youtuber is harder than a 9-5.
I’m sayinnnnn! labor to money ratio ain’t it for the 9-5 😮💨
Fr 😭
Seriously smh
All the doctors, teachers, etc watching the 9-5 question responses from these TH-camrs ….. 👁👁 Manny’s response was the most sensible.

Thank you for helping everyone connect more David :)
i'd rather die than have a group of influencers tell me that 9-5 is easier than youtube but great vid
♡ Time Stamps ♡
4:30 : "Views affect my mood"
11:32 : "It's easier to be a Tik Toker than a TH-camr"
18:49 : "Being a TH-camr is harder than a 9-5"
28:33 : "Comments get to me"
36:45 : "I feel like I can become irrelevant whenever"
45:52 : "If I can make the same amount of money doing something else I would"
53:58 : "Most influencers are 'bad' people"
DAVID THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD VIDEO! YOU NEED TO KEEP MAKING MORE OF THESE!
I am watching this 2 years late but I love the way they all spoke to Ryan to try and make him feel better. It showed they were great friends who care. I just love the support and love from this video.
the hardest day being a youtuber is still easier than the easiest day working a 9-5
👀 ily david
i love you more papi
david this video is incredible. it’s awesome to see some of my favorite youtubers talk about deep stuff like this. it’s also nice to get the different perspectives based on how long they’ve been doing this. this is an amazing video and i’m glad you made it
just the idea of taking a break from social media (= your work) whenever you want proves how a 9 to 5 is harder than being a youtuber tbh
So fun to watch.
i’m really glad devonte was in this, created a much more well rounded discussion
this is literally so good. the diverse group of youtubers, the conversation, everything about it.. *chefs kiss*
Alex has the most genuine & sweet heart. You can tell. I’ve been watching you since you started & I’m so happy that you are still so caring & humble. Keep being amazing!! 🥺♥️ (Talking directly at Alex bc he says he reads all the comments 😭)
Also, as a Latina, I can tell you Latin@s would watch you too!
