- During a press conference on Thursday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to prevent exam paper leaks in India, referencing incidents in exams like NET, NEET, and UGC. Gandhi remarked, ""There were claims that Modi ji stopped the Russia-Ukraine war. However, for some reason, Narendra Modi has either been unable or unwilling to prevent paper leaks in our country.""
He emphasized the negative impact on students, stating, ""Students suffer because these leaks affect their future."" Gandhi also pointed to the Vyapam scandal in Madhya Pradesh, suggesting that Modi and his administration are allowing similar issues to spread nationwide. He further alleged that the BJP's influence over educational institutions and their leadership is a primary reason for these leaks, describing it as part of a broader pattern of institutional capture, including in the media and educational sectors.
