Silvanya Withlock I've heard this maybelline foundation is comparable to estee lauder double wear (I think it's called) foundation. I just got some today and I am so excited to try it!
The Cutts Family definitely not. I love the Estée Lauder Double Wear and the Maybelline Superstay is nice but they're pretty different. The Double Wear is satin/matte and wearable on its own for dry skin. The Superstay is SUPER matte and dying and needs to mixed for dry skin. The coverage is similar though.
The Cutts Family Rimmel Lasting Finish (red packaging) is more comparable to the Double Wear but it's being discontinued for a new version (gray packaging) but some stores still have it.

My fav foundation now is probably the Clinique Anti-Blemish foundation. For me that have so much imperfections and rednesses left by blemishes is perfect because it's really anti-blemish!!!!! It's amazing how the night I remove the make up and the imperfections are less notable or disappeared.

I think with the foundations being so similar on application a wear test would've been more important - I think quite often it is the wear that separates high end foundations and drug store foundations that seem good on application.

imo, sometimes it's better to just get one expensive, highend product than many cheap ones which you don't really like. it may be cheap but it adds up if you buy a lot. (btw, i mean in general, and not specifically to you! just that i see a lot of comments preferring cheaper products for the sake of being able to buy more makeup with their savings when in the long run, it makes them spend more because they keep searching for their holy grail, cheap product)

Sher Maine I disagree. One time I splurged on NARS and the formula SUCKED. I had been wearing wet n wild photofocus foundation before I picked the NARS illuminating foundation, guess what... I went back to wet n wild. This was feb 2017 and I haven’t looked back.

Paul Dizon I’m OBSESSED with any makeup in stick or crayon shape. I’m not sure if it’s some repressed childhood issue, or because it’s SOOO easy and quick to apply. I’m LOVING the Tarte Amazonian stick foundation, and if I use my Mia 2 blending brush attachment, literally the blending takes under 30 seconds. Best investment EVER; that thing is magical. I use it every single day, for cleansing, to remove masks, to blend foundation, contour, cream blush, it’s a magical piece of tech, worth every penny ✨👏🏻✨👏🏻✨👏🏻
But, I did use my Fit Me stick foundation today, for a more natural look, with a few Fenty color sticks (not sure the real product name) for contour, highlight and concealing. And a NYX cream blush. What about oily skin?? These are the major questions we have to know bc any foundation can be perfect at first.
Trinady Manke I have dry skin, but it gets very oily when wearing makeup during the day (but remains very dry without it) and this still lasts me up to eleven hours with just one t-zone repowder. The revlon colorstay lasts me up to six hours so if you've tried that, there's a reference point, also the true match lasts me four on average. Obviously I don't get quite as slippery as oily skin but foundation lasting is a problem I have and this performed beautifully, and also feels like nothing when you wear it. I agree though, definitely needs to ake a book out of beauty gurus like tati and do a wear test.

I have both of these and while I like the Huda, I love the Maybelline foundation. I find that the Huda foundation dries out more quickly and doesn't cover quite as well. Just my personal experience with extremely dry skin.
