It worked but we recently replaced it with a regular faucet and a water heater instead. Mostly because it was slow (You need to have a low flow to get hot water, high flow gives colder water). So it takes time to fill a sink.
Hot and Cold water has two small ball valves on the pipes before the Fauset. Hot water pipe is always closed with the ball valve. Fauset is connected only to the Cold water pipe, that is always open.

And hot water pipe that is not connected , how do u cut supply for it
Water is shutdown with a small ball valve on the pipe
You don't show how to disconnect cold and hot water pipes and reconnect only one to the new instant heater tap.
