    Thanks for watching!
What strategies do you use to learn vocabulary and practice speaking? And more important... is it working well for you? 🧐

I have tried to learn the basics so far, but I have rarely put what I have learned into practice. I have been teaching myself about one year. I do have a job, so I am not full time learning, but I am scared to speak, just in case I make a fool of myself. I will try your method. Hopefully I can progress. Thankyou

Hey Mandy! I admire your time and dedication. Working and studying is a challenge (but also worth it). I hope you get rid of your fear to speak, because you shouldn't care at all! I always tell my students that every time you learn a new language, you have a chance to decide your new identity, and express yourself as you wish. It's a fresh start :)

Glad you like it! In the end we are learning a language to help us communicate ourselves, so the more that our learning is connected to our real life routine, the better :)

Hola de Valencia . I am loving your tutorials. I have lived in Girona and Marbella over the years too.
It’s difficult with the different accents. I had to learn quickly because my builders were Spanish and I used Google translate. I will have a look at Reverso. I have been lucky as everyone was so
kind and happy that I was trying to speak their language.
I always ask to be corrected as I have made some terrible mistakes much to the delight of the locals. A sense of humour goes a very long way and a smile.
I now need to keep up as I have become lazy which is why I look forward to your videos. Muchas gracias 😊

I'm happy to hear that these videos are helping you. Sometimes it's hard to keep the motivation and the learning habits, but it's really important to keep learning things that are connected to your real life.
      Un abrazo fuerte!

I am so glad I found your videos on TH-cam. I am motivate to prioritize my time with your videos and list of words that I will use in daily life. For instance, medical terminology, my partner recently went through emergency surgery and now has ongoing doctor appointments. I am a retired nurse, so I will focus on those words. Secondly, I am so grateful for the community I live in and the people that have helped me through the process, I live in Ubrique, which is predominantly Spanish speaking. Now with your list of greetings I can feel more comfortable to meet and greet! Thank you. The next time, I will comment in Spanish, I hope🙏

A lot of people often get a bad experience talking to a native speaker because they're busy. Shopping is a great example. If the store is busy or this person just has a lot of work to do and your language level is really low then they're going to do whatever they can to get through the situation as fast as possible and they may look a little frustrated. But if you talk to people when they have a bit more time and they're relaxed then you usually get a really good experience.

Totally agree with you, Paul. Sometimes we don't see how we are also approaching to locals. I have had amazing experience speaking with natives in China and Germany, but it's also about showing an attitude that you really want to practice what makes the difference

Helpful video. I didn't know about reverso until your video. Gracias. I record short video clips of the language I am learning (Spanish) and play them repeatedly. Helps with learning words, sentence structure, and recognizing spoken words.

Hola Warren! Thanks for your feedback. Recording short clips sounds also really interesting. From what you're saying, it sounds like you use them mostly to improve your listening, correct?

@@c.learningclub Correct. I have a very difficult time understanding Spanish when it is spoken to me. So, I play short clubs over and over to start picking up on sounds, words, sentence structure, etc.
