I remember watching this on TV when I was a child. Judging by the date, I think I would've been 10. I remember being really impressed by this contestant; reaching 125,000 with all 3 lifelines remaining. I thought that he had what it took to go the whole way and win the 1 million. However, I had the disappointment of watching him drop back to 32,000.
Honestly I didn't know and I would 100% have walked. My immediate guess was the size of a ruler but then I imagined people holding it and thought it was slightly bigger. I didn't know but after that thought 100% it would be C or D. If there was 50/50 A and B would have been removed. No point guessing on that kinda question would have walked. When he guessed B even though I didn't know I knew that wouldn't be the answer.
I fked that question I said Marvel before any answer even appeared but then I saw Beano and knew they were both really old. I knew 50/50 would immediately remove the other two but because of instincts I would have gone with Marvel. Literally ONE year out. I guess you would have had to go with knowledge from the time to know the answer.
SPOILER: If Rob hadn't used his two lifelines in the wrong order on the 250k question and maybe been able to save the 50/50 for the 500k question, perhaps he'd not have lost 218k...and maybe he'd have won the million...

I like watching who wants to be a millionaire
what a legend though🫡
I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box, but it amazes me how people can take so long to answer the most easiest questions.
Easiest ✅
Most easiest ❌
It’s probably the nerves, they want to be careful on the easy questions because if they get one wrong it’s super embarrassing
Even if I can answer a lot of these questions, I'll freeze worse than the contestants to the point where I will forget my name
If you were sitting there could you do any better?
Well it's obviously not that straight forward for them, hence the reason they take so long.
Quarter milly question I said beano straight away because it just sounded right and I thought it was a comic introduced in the late 30s 😂
haha same with me and Marvel I knew that was late 30s I just didn't know when Beano was released. Horrible question one year between those two.
First Marvel comic was 1939. There was a Captain America cliffhanger serial made in 1944. The only Beanos I read were the annuals.
I would’ve walked away with £250000 if I had that Oscar question and didn’t know it

“How Now? Brown Cow. Silly.”
As if he just punted on that £500000 question. That's sooooo irresponsible
Hope he's still stewing over it 20 years later
@@towelietowel217 What a horrible thing to hope.

A beano
2002-2005 Studio
It seems the host was told to constantly say how the contestants or audience look "terrified", "horrified", "bewildered" etc. etc. etc. Ridiculous.
