Just my opinion: I think a factor in why Lucy didn’t go to America is because of the time difference that would come between her and Ona. I know other couples like Jess and AKB are doing it but they’ve been in an established relationship for a long time. Lucy and Ona in comparison are quite new and haven’t been too far apart from each other. Chelsea is good not only for Lucy’s career but her relationship too. I for one am looking forward to seeing Lucy in the WSL again!

I don’t think it’s a big deal that Netherlands and England are playing a closed doors match. A LOT of their fans are in Germany supporting the men’s teams AND neither one will be at the Olympics. It’s probably more of an exhibition friendly than one for the books.

Spain is pretty warm but mostly in the off-season for football. Barcelona is by the sea so the weather is fairly temperate, but often windy, not like Florida I don't think. Much warmer than London though. I think the quality of football and chance of winning trophies will have been the deciding factor for Bronze.
OH wow thanks for the info! Sounds so nice! Florida is SOO muggy and humid! I grew up in dry heat and I much prefer it. But Barcelona sounds lovely!
Looking forward to seeing Mariona play for Arsenal. This was clearly why they let Viv leave, the problem is they handled it pretty badly. The problem may have been that they couldn't announce the signing of MC until the Liga F season had finished, which ends much later than the WSL, so there was this big gap between Viv leaving and the announcement of the new player coming in. But I can't wait, I love Mariona, how she plays, the quality she has, and obviously her beautiful smile. She speaks really good English as well, quite a bit better than Aitana who seems to always be speaking English in public, whereas I'd never heard Mariona speak anything other than Spanish and Catalan (Mallorquin, really)

part of the reason why Viv and Jonas fell out seems to have been that she didn't want to play striker any more, she wants to be a 10, so that fits perfectly with Bunny as the 9. The player who might be pushed out a bit is Jess Park, which would be a shame because she was sensational last season

it's not a come down to be playing at the Johan Cruyff in front of 5,000 to be playing at the Emirates in front of 60,000. Also in Liga F, Barça only get like four difficult games a season, the rest are mostly very easy. The WSL is more competitive.
