You're an incredible human being Vanessa. I've learned a lot from you, and I really appreciate the work you put out into the world. I find your fun-loving, transparent, silly self very admirable 😊 I wish I didn't already have a 10AM commitment. I'm looking forward to watching this later though 🙂🙏🏼
Vanessa has become one of my favorites! I'm loving her book 'Cues' and these videos are also extraordinary. Top notch content and presentation, I'm super impressed by everything. Sending lots of thanks and love to Vanessa and the Science of People team!
I love the break downs of the different body language cues from public figures. It is super helpful and shows that anyone can use their body language as a superpower. I think it would be intriguing to see the breakdown of CEOs and founders. Some that come to mind are Ray Dalio, Gary Vaynerchuk (Vee), Elon musk, and others. Thank you for the awesome content and learning, you've helped me break out of my shell and build awareness to my body language.
Thank you, Vanessa! This is Cris from, Madrid, Spain. You are such a great teacher .... (captivating gesture) Watching ordinary people's gestures always intrigues me. Especially watching moms and dads talk to their kids. That's when I see all the cues you have talked about in this magnificent video. Take care and keep them comin'! haha
"Smolder" works for Rock because he's known for the humor of it, back to the wrestling days.When/If I do it, people think I'm scowling at them - not friendly. :-) To be honest, Rock comes off a bit inauthentic to me. He's all about business and will sell whatever he has to be sold at full intensity whether its good or not. He knows what he's doing when he does that. Great talk, thank you!
The person I'd like to see you analyze your next viral video is...🤔 yourself Vanessa ...you are a complete rock star .. I appreciate you ALWAYS being EXCEPTIONAL
That was fun! Your a very engaging person. I think you would be so intrigued with Russell Brand. He was on MSNBC. They were so rude with him so he did every trick in the book. Very charming. Never raised his voice but they knew if they were good or bad😂
Vanessa I listen to you before I go to sleep....your voice is very relaxing soothing.....then listen and watch your video again. Very informative very in depth....love them
Dwayne Johnson does this in a natural way. This suits him. You are right. His conversation becomes more powerful. He drives ahead his ideas this way. You are absolutely right. But it varies from person to person. I know actions and gestures are powerful.
The Rock's wrestling background is why he's so good at nonverbal communication. Professional wrestling is storytelling and the action of the "fight" is not mic'd so they must tell the story nonverbally. You could easily watch a WWE event with no sound and be able to retell the storyline.
Oh Vanessa, can you share your wisdoms on being charming/ charismatic/ encourage positive energy in virtual set up (meetings, face time). Curiosity, is there equivalent of touch in virtual set up? :) New subscriber... Recovering ackward...
Great question! You may find this article helpful: www.scienceofpeople.com/zoom-etiquette/ If you have more questions about this after reading the article, feel free to email support@scienceofpeople.com with your questions.
Extraordinary person reading this, you are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life! You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness and gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever! Love you always and I believe in you wholeheartedly ✨❤️ - Nat
Thank you for this series, Vanessa. I'm already seeing many ways to apply what I learn from your videos, including the ones from Creative Life and People School. Would you be able to pick a few introverts who are charming? I keep hearing that Keanu Reeves is one, and he's highlighted as a person to watch for good charming body language.
Great Video and New year blessings to y’all, please, Is there anyone here with the best ideas on how to utilize 100 thousand Dollars and can assure good returns from it? Any idea ...
Amazing I didn’t know it was called mirroring, but I have been doing this for years. I tell people that I feel like a Chamaeleon not because I blend in but because I blend well with various groups of people.
A lot of your videos remind me of content I’ve seen on Charisma on Command. He had used The Rock for examples like this a lot too! Very interesting stuff, thank you!
Stephen Colbert... I am constantly amazed at the information he is able to get folks to share in a radically short amount of time! some are classically tight-lipped difficult interviews and he manages to get them to open up in a few minutes. He is obviously an example of how is own openness about his trauma puts others at ease, but I feel like his theater training has given him a wealth of cues that magnify that ease... just curious. I am a tutor that needs to put students at ease right away, but i am also neurodiverse, so I really appreciate your breakdowns.
Informative video. (I like all of your stuff). I always thought the single eyebrow raise was the one Dwayne gesture that was contrived. The others seem genuine. Thanks, V!
Dwayne tends to be decisive, forward-thinking, and spontaneous with a natural aversion to rigid structure. As a Type Three, Dwayne tends to be ambitious, adaptable, and enthusiastic. Dwayne is generally driven and loves to set and accomplish goals. As an ENTP, Dwayne tends to be expressive, curious, and spontaneous.🥺🥺🥺
I always find great value in Your videos, surely some of the best content online. 🌟🎯🏅 I would greatly appreciate seeing Your evaluation of Russell Brand.
If you haven’t done one yet, you should do a Craig Ferguson video on how he used to flirt shamelessly with his guests on the late late show when he was the host. There are other videos on TH-cam that show examples but it would be awesome to watch you break down the verbal and physical cues and also how the other person reacts
The Rock ist auch a charming and lovely person. I love watching him. And I'm feeling you have a crush on him, too 🥰 cause you talk way faster and more excited about hin then in your other videos. I love that 🥰🥰
If you want to see her points on eye gestures and raising eyebrows, look up Damon Salvatore from the show Vampire Diaries. Although he can exaggerate a little, it's still effective
I first stumbled upon you, Vanessa, 5-6 years ago.. I was in Indonesia and tried to order your book from the US but it didn't arrive.. so I continued watching you on YT! Even your early videos have helped me a lot as a person in many circumstances. You and your incredible team deserve an acknowledgement. By the way, don't you think KATE BECKINSALE oozes that distinctive charm as well?
So now that I’ve been following you for a while and I do really appreciate all the things you do pulling out. I must say it’s very obvious that you have some sort of crush on the rock or maybe his “ock lol
Great video! I think professional wrestlers in general are very charming people. The person I would love to see one of these videos for is Brad Pitt mostly because you said he was more of a quiet Alpha male, when we don't typically think of Alpha Males as quiet. I feel like I identify more naturally with him. Also, I'd love to see one on BRUCE LEE just to some Asian American men in there too 😁 Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
emilia clarke! emilia clarke! emilia clarke! I love your videos and emilia clarke is one of my alter egos. I love the way she scrunches her nose and squints her eyes whenever she laughs!
The Rock's charm is all about subtle cues. His eyebrow raise shows confidence, and his "Savor Smile" adds warmth to interactions. I’ve tried using his "Verbal Mirroring" and noticed people connect better. One key takeaway: mastering these techniques can make you effortlessly charming. Adding humor to these moves, like in the Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x, makes them even more effective. It’s all about being present and genuine!
I must say your videos are fun to watch and there is always something to learn from. I would be happy to see video on Cillian Murphy main character from "Peaky Blinders" in my opinion he is the true alpha male, and he also made a lot of jesture in the whole series which made him heard in the room and got him the postion of leader.
Great video! Great gestures, Vanessa! I've learned so much from you over the years! Check the sound in the room you are recording in. Can you get something to absorb the reverberations in the room? It's a small thing, but the only thing slightly amateurish about the video. LOVE the dress!
Very educational Vanessa. I suggest for us people like myself who fall more on the comptence scale how about shark tanks very own 👉🏽Kevin O ' Leary💪🏽 Great Work Vanessa🥇still reading captivate and looking foward to more material. Kind Regards, -Jerzee CBDT

He always seems so confifent. As big as he is, he seems so thoughful and gentle. I've always liked him.
Maybe that guy is the "Rock", but you are certainly the Wonder woman! Your superpower is that pure and energetic vibe of yours.
Dolly Parton! Why is she so universally liked? Her cues have to be part of it!
Vanessa has become one of my favorites! I'm loving her book 'Cues' and these videos are also extraordinary. Top notch content and presentation, I'm super impressed by everything. Sending lots of thanks and love to Vanessa and the Science of People team!

Charisma, Clarity , and Confidence, in Your Cues. Best Wishes 🤲 For Your Novel Book 👍 "CUES".
Dwayne Johnson does this in a natural way. This suits him. You are right. His conversation becomes more powerful. He drives ahead his ideas this way. You are absolutely right. But it varies from person to person. I know actions and gestures are powerful.
I’m so grateful that I bought your book, Cues, on a whim. I seriously love what you’re teaching!
Thank you for the support! I'm glad to know you loved it =) I hope it helped in some way
You doing the "captivating gestures" along with the Rock was boss-level cute.
That was a great video and your eyebrows are on fleek, btw. 😉
I think Neil Patrick Harris would be an interesting person to study
I love this video, thanks so much Vannesa Van Edwards.
He’s def a positive role model for the youth
I’d enjoy Hearing Vanessa dissect Dolly Parton’s charisma cues!
Thanks for the suggestion!
Great message as always, Vanessa. Thanks for breaking down so well. You rock!
No pun intended

Great video - I have your book on audibles- but could not conceptualize the smolder until I saw this video!
You're so creative! Learned a lot here, thank you!
One thing that the Rock did in the first clip which was not discussed (happy to be wrong) is the head tilt warmth
Great insight. Thank you so much.
So glad it was helpful - thank you for watching!
Love this analysis and the specific cues demonstrated. Plus omg, the Rock! Perfect subject matter. What a great guy.

I agree
I'm an indecisive INFP who tends to be stubbornly set in his ways. I'm going to try to ask myself "What would the Rock do?" from now on.
I always find great value in Your videos, surely some of the best content online. 🌟🎯🏅 I would greatly appreciate seeing Your evaluation of Russell Brand.
