I think its important to show more of this on TV because most just see the fame and the fortune and think its easy. Fighting isnt as glamorous as most people think - McGregor has wealth, fame and self belief... but hes just a man, and to be reduced to limping around on one leg like a cripple infront of so many people and cameras must be an extremely hard pill to swallow. Everyone likes to say these guys earn millions in minutes, but that is far from reality. They are spending months training and doing interviews and then they are bombarded by the media during fight week. And after the fight, they are recovering if they get hurt. Conor had a 6 month suspension after this fight because of concussion protocol. It is so misleading to say they only work for a few minutes.

Watching this makes me feel bad about Connor. Dude seemed to have grown so much, but suddenly he regressed to his old ways
he has to overcome his insecurity. he has been a horrible role model for aspiring fighters for too long
It's desperation, he's looking for a way to stop his obvious decline. So he's going back to his old shtick and trying to be even more over the top. He's done it in every way these last few days. Trash talking at the press conference, kicking at the weigh ins, he even decided to start the fight the way we haven't seen him do since he moved up from featherweight with spinning techniques and all that. It's Conor trying to turn back time to 2015.
I was overjoyed watching this.
He's grown so much, by sucker punching a 50+ year old man for now reason at a bar, for not accepting a shot of his proper 12.

The fight fan community on the internet, is most definitely, a very toxic place. Edits like these, are crucial. If it only changes one person’s perspective, to where they stop spewing toxic energy towards these fighters amd the fans that support them, it’s a win in my book.
