This message hit me .All my elders I learned so much from are gone and i feel my wisdom will not be needed to fill those shoes . And I see young people missing this personal opportunity in today's faster spinning wheel. I pray my sons find some wisdom passed down to me from my elders hearts. Your words always nudge me toward the light and i thank you.

I was adopted internationally and feel this deeply. Unable to know my history beyond meditations and understanding the separation between nature and nurture. Always felt most at home in nature and feel very much a part of the planet on a basic level. Sister to all. Now a blessed mother to two and understand the magic and beauty of blood.

Family is everything. As I approach 60 years on this planet, I reflect on my distant siblings' and parents who struggled to get along throughout their lives and are now in need during their old age. The elders who once showed interest in me have passed, leaving my clan diminished. My only remaining elder relative is an aunt who was distant during my youth; I am reaching out to her now in her solitude. My children, now adults with busy lives and families of their own, have grown apart. Having recently retired from a 21-year career in the Army, I find myself grappling with a loss of identity. My family's roots trace back to the Appalachian Ulster's, prompting me to join a Scots Clan to connect with my heritage. In the face of these challenges, I am striving to reclaim what I've lost and fortify my spirit, all while endeavoring to live a life deserving of heaven and reuniting with my dearly missed family.

As I just reached 60, I remember the great love of my adoptive parents, the best fun times ever! I recall some of the fun I had with my much older adopted brother, and cousins...I try to forget the bad stuff. I realize I am the end of my line. All my closest relatives we’re past when I was 42. No one left in my family to pass on much of anything. Even my cat, who I considered my family is now gone. But my friends are still connected, mostly by these devices, as most of them have moved south & i look forward to the new friends I do & will make & I hope I can serve others in anyway I can, though not as able bodied as others. My biological mother told me she’d see me in Heaven. 🤨🤷🏻‍♀️ (im her secret.) My half brother stopped talking to me & won’t tell the others about me & 1 is my full blood brother! Fortunately, the man who married her, took them in as his own boys & was wonderful to them all!
We all seemed to have gone to the families, I believe, with whom we were meant to be! I learned so much & will as long as I live, how to be more in harmony with all these different people, even if rejected by some for no apparent reason. It’s amazing what Mr. Brown says! How they are ALL related! And how wonderful to think I am related to EVERYONE! And so are YOU! May your children, aunt, siblings & others, become closer as the days go by faster.
I do feel that identity loss or shift, as well, that you had mentioned. And I think...Love for self, love for family, love for neighbors, love for those we are yet to meet is great to keep in mind & in heart! Remember that great saying? “This above all: To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, that thou canst not be false to any man.” - Shakespeare , from Hamlet. (Mr. Brown will know this saying well, having studied all the classics! 😊) Be the love you are! That’s who you are at your core! That is our identity, if we live it! Mr. Brown, I believe calls this the Beauty Way Path! It is beautiful, indeed! 😊 Best to you & yours. May you find your Scottish clan. Cynthia

In the mid 1960s, My family spent summers vacationing in the 4 Corners area. We went to all the major cliff dwelling areas. We went to many of the Indian gatherings and saw many of the ceremony & spiritual dances.
I learned about all the different tribes.
We went to the yearly gathering in Gallup NM. I learned about many spiritual things. I was only 12, 13, 14, but I listened, and I observed.
The things that I learned, later helped save my life & helped when I spoke with the Great Spirit Father of All after being badly hurt overseas serving in the U.S.Army. I walked in two worlds & was shown all of creation and who we are and why we are here.
I am now 72 years along and listen to this video brings all those long summer months over the years back to me. Spiritual knowledge being passed on. You are all very fortunate to be able to learn and take in the things he is speaking of and about.
You will be stronger for listening and hearing what he speaks of.

After listening to you, it made me realize I AM the elder now. I'm sitting here wondering when did that happen? I understand now the teachings from my parents and grandparents. I've always taught my children, and now my grandchildren, that family is what life is about. Love, kindness, and compassion. I pass on stories. Tell them about their grandparents and great grandparents. Stories that were told to me. The history of where they come from. Blessings to you for making me realize this. Making me realize that I am passing on our family history.

@carolthomas770 I think about this a lot myself. My mom is in an assisted living home for dementia. I’ve been a consistent visitor for 4 years now and while this place is decent enough, many seniors just don’t get the attention nor stimulation they need. And I know many places are way worse off. I’m one of few visitors. Many seniors are dropped off, and left alone.

Thank you Grandfather for this teaching. I did have to laugh when you spoke of knowing your clan and clan names on all four sides of your family. The reason I laughed is that I'm mixed Caucasian, mostly if not all European. So I was thinking of making them up, Clan of the Pirates and Hobos, Clan of the Murphey temper, Clan of the spiritual, Clan of sons of kings. Which doesn't sound terrible and would be accurate, but if I introduced myself as such, I'd be laughed at, just like I did when making these up.
You are loved, admired and appreciated. Love hearing your language, even though I can't understand it, it sounds like a song when spoken. Just beautiful. And I love your teachings, the wisdom and knowledge, the deep understanding of human nature and the beauty way path are all inspirational and amazing. All blessings to you and all of your people and tribes of this nation. God bless. ♾

If it would have been where they spoke English or Spanish it would have been loud and I would have had to speak loudly to be heard .

Just as love for one individual which excludes the love for others is not love, love for one's country which is not part of one's love for humanity is not love, but idolatrous worship.
Love of others and love of ourselves are not alternatives. On the contrary, an attitude of love towards themselves will be found in all those who are capable of loving others.

I had a dream about being at the door…
When the question of my name came, my only response was, “I am still here.”
    …then, I woke up.

My "clans" are traced back to 835 C.E. on my father's side. And, back to the mid 1600's on my mother's side. Legally immigrating to the United States in the 1640's and 1905...Every generation has at least 1 veteran since their beginnings. 🇺🇸💥🇺🇸

Your ancestors may have immigrated to Turtle Island, but the indigenous tribes would probably dispute the legality of it. Just saying xx

@@julietrudgill9887 regardless of past matters, the hard reality is what was the driving force? People in the Puget Sound specifically are being legally confined to reservations through regulatory laws, which limit their ability to relocate to certain areas. in time they will be further confined by making travel too difficult and regulated by services. Essentially little by little confining people into more compact areas for optimum control. The native peoples might’ve been the first to experience this process but it’s clearly going to happen again. Regardless my past few years as a latter-day saint has been quite educational and it’s evident to me that what this man teaches is truth.

My clan has moved around so much over the centuries escaping religious prosecutions we have lost so much of our culture. I hope to go back to my mother's homeland to learn more about my clan one day being Sweden, Poland and Norway.

Thank you sir, for these timeless teachings. Ever since I was a kid, 4 years old, I’ve longed for spiritual guidance and teachings from wise indigenous men, but none could be found. Eventually I had to go on my own and seek out some elders. I hitchhiked to Arizona at age 19 and was fortunate to have been guided to a hogan on Blue Mesa. I herded sheep for several days but then because of events that were happening with the coal mines and whatnot I left. But a part of the Dené spirit came back to Montana with me. I have found a few indigenous people from my area who have helped guide me through the sweatlodge and other teachings. But listening to you, Wally is like finally hearing the elders I’ve been searching for. That 4 year old boy was me, 60 years ago. I hope young people find you and can learn from you. You don’t have to be Diné to benefit from these teachings.

This talk made me start thinking about my grandfather, long gone now. He was a man of honor and good character. He lived his life with good morals and never strayed from them. He was honest and trustworthy. He was a good person who respected others and was respected in return. He loved his family and cared for them well. He was devoted to my grandmother. He was of strong character and dependable. He was a man that I could look up to for guidance and how to live my own life.
