Story so far: Timbo the Darkling stole all the towns from Proton Jon the Duck Alchemist and Chugga the Super-Saiyan Monk. Chugga then died after getting poked by a Ninja! Jon once again got dominated by the Darkling, and suffered a name change into Egg Dealer in the process. Timbo then had his heart purified again, taking the credit as the one who rescued Princess Penny from the nefarious Rico Jr. The King rewarded Timbo with Cusco Castle, but Timbo's reign of terror as the Darkling backfired on him, as Cusco Castle is practically worthless, due to Timbo unleashing Monster Armageddon on all the towns. Timbo began to remedy this by liberating some towns he endangered. Chugga then successfully robbed Chance Boutique and got a Revival and two Charm Potions. After that, he began liberating towns. Following suit is Egg Dealer, who decides to change his name back to Proton Jon. Can Chugga liberate Balcoa by beating his evil clone? Can our heroes beat the next big monster? Chuggaa takes 9999 damage and I'm like "Oh, the Nitroglycerin finally went off" assuming that's what indicated it going off, but... he still has it. Alright. Then I remembered that the Nitroglycerin is supposed to leave you with 1 HP.

Not necessarily. Castles don't change ownership except by Castle Panic. Think of them kind of like stars from Mario Party but with only one way to steal them. So, whoever has the most castles is usually going to be in first no matter what, unless they're stolen from him/her.
Global Panic is helpful because everyone loses every thing so the scores are even, allowing you to reclaim towns to even the score. Think Bowser Revolution but controlled.
castle panic is still better, castles are worth several towns and they can only be obtained by completing a chapter for the corresponding region or via darkling powers. while global panic is nice in that it resets the whole game and gets you massive xp in the process, anyone can get their towns back and then some, so even though tim can get towns now, so does chugga and jon, but at least tim learned how to move fast in the game
I never understood the logic behind going Global Assault over Castle Panic as a Darkling. Resetting the map just makes everything a grab-bag, and if you got the whispers it means you're likely to still come out behind the other players once it's done because it probably means you aren't playing that well tactically. Castle Panic, on the other hand, is an immediate reversal on the most valuable commodity in the game that has NO chance of backfiring until someone else gets the whispers. Plus, in this case, Tim had the Princess so he could have come out with THREE castles worth something instead of just one.
Well, think about it like this, albeit it late and albeit I haven't seen the rest of the series yet; This is a very unique situation. During his first few days, Tim sought out and killed both Jon and Chugga. This isolated Chugga and would require him to once again go through that tedious ass dungeon, costing him precious time. So, with Chugga isolated, Tim could then claim all the other towns, albeit they're worth less. Now with Jon, he had the unfortunate problem of reviving at the castle, Tim's destination. So, by killing Jon on his last day as Darkling, Tim could fully capitalize on getting a head start on reclaiming the towns. In all honesty, I think it was a smart move, not to mention it gave him a slight lead in levels. All and all, both options do have their strong points. Global Assault can catch you back up in levels and offers you a chance at more money, while Castle Panic can guarantee you a lot of net without any risk of losing it for a few weeks at least since you would've been the last Darkling. TL;DR Chugga was isolated from most of the towns, Jon was dead when Tim head out to start reclaiming, and either way both options offer good chances to get back into the game. I honestly think Tim made the right choice here.

Chugga was isolated, albeit with the higher paying towns, but with a new area opened up and ALL the other towns now up for grabs, Tim had a huge head start. Chugga would either need to get lucky with a town/shop warp, find a guided warp, or do it the tedious way and head through the forest. Keep in mind Jon is also dead at the beginning of all this chaos, giving Tim some time to make some headway. Not to mention at the end of the week, Tim IS in first, albeit who knows for how long? Eh. I guess I'll have to catch up and see.
Now that Jon is the Egg Dealer, I imagine him saying "Psst, hey kid, want some eggs. I got some of the good stuff, brown eggs. Highest quality. Just milk it up."

The funny thing is about the castle that Tim got is due to chuggaa liberating some of the towns on the 4th continent, the castle now has a value as the castles are programmed to be twice the value of the town in the continent which has the highest value and it will increase in value if a different town increases in the value. Found it out when playing with my friends
I'm not an expert at Dokapon. Maybe you're right, but it seems Tim made a smart move anyway considering how deep in last place he was and how many towns he had compared to everyone else. Now he's in first for the first time in forever, is the highest level, and he still has a castle that will only go up in value from here. He's in a good place.

Guys, Tim didn't even really mess up. I'd argue Emile's the one that screwed himself since he actually gave Tim's castle worth. When Emile liberated a town he automatically made the value of Tim's castle double that of his town. It would have been smarter to wait until he got to a different continent, where the towns, and thus the castle, is worth less.
Good question. Although Jon also mentioned having played Kirby Air Ride on TRG even longer ago one stream, I believe. I could be wrong though, considering we just saw Kirby's Dream Course.

The Darkling actually isn't vulnerable to the traps he placed. I played a full round with my girlfriend and she got the Darkling and set like 40 traps. She never got hit by a single one, and I got one almost every turn cause we were only 2 continents in. So safe to say Darklings are immune to their own traps

How good is Jon defensively? I know his speed is superior, but I forgot his magic stat. Darklings can be killed, someone just needs to do it the right way. If Chugga or Tim could raise their strength or magic to ludicrous levels and have good abilities, it could happen. In the Dokapodcast, they did say there was a lot of fighting, so anything is possible. Darkling has surely come up. Can't for get about Jon's so far horrible luck. Mario Party 5 failed the odd-number trend for Jon to set, so bad luck just might stab Jon is the back! Who knows with this crazy messed up Kingdom?! Jon is the sage the wiki, not the dumb lucker!

Nitroglycerin has a random chance to explode when the holder is damaged by magic, either field or battle. Physical attacks won't set it off.

How good is Jon defensively? I know his speed is superior, but I forgot his magic stat. Darklings can be killed, someone just needs to do it the right way. If Chugga or Tim could raise their strength or magic to ludicrous levels and have good abilities, it could happen. In the Dokapodcast, they did say there was a lot of fighting, so anything is possible. Darkling has surely come up. Can't for get about Jon's so far horrible luck. Mario Party 5 failed the odd-number trend for Jon to set, so bad luck just might stab Jon is the back! Who knows with this crazy messed up Kingdom?! Jon is the sage the wiki, not the dumb lucker!
