However, war is an unfortunate and devastating event, and especially the recent war between Israel and terrorist groups was very upsetting, and the brutal attack by Hamas on ordinary people and Israeli citizens deeply upset me. But besides that, I got to know the country of Israel and its beautiful cities and happy people there by watching these films, and I realized how many Israelis of Iranian descent live there and how much they long to see Iran again. Hoping for a day when the cultural relationship between the Persian and Jewish nations will be restored and we will visit each other's countries.

My father worked in Haifa port until 1948. He lived in a rented house with my mother and eldest siblings. They left their house when the war broke out and assumed they will be back in a week or two. My parents were always speaking about life in Haifa and their friends and neighbours. They had a Jewish family as neighbours and the lady was friendly with my mother. When I was a kid I noticed large keys hanging on the wall, my father said those are the keys for the house in Haifa and we will need them when we go back, he never gave up hope. My parents died, I am told the house was gone as well. I inherited the keys of the house that doesn't exist.
