Chael your entire premise dies in light of the truth. His current promoter shelved him because they wanted to use him as leverage and their TV agreements that are coming up this year. But the truth is at this point he's an alcoholic, possible rapist, possible drug addict, that is likely never to fight at the highest of the levels again.
I don’t think you understand the reality of professional athletes, they’re all alcoholic and drug addicts. People citing this as an issue related to decline are oblivious normies.
Here’s the “why” Chael: there are plenty of more amateurs out there with lots of money not called Dana White and not with the corporates to answer to. Someone will take a chance on him, due to massive potential upside - regardless of backlash!
I thought most people assumed he wouldn’t be back after he pulled out in June. He’s cried wolf too many times to this point and nobody will believe it until he makes the walk at this point.
I agreed with that observation. And I have seen others point that out. I think he was gaping his fight out put when he was healthy, considering he had the mega endorsements to sit on. After the leg break he probably realized his mma fighting career was permanently over for good. We were just being worked to keep his name ...social media relevant, for his other business deals
Conor knows he's done. His problem is that the moment he states that directly, his relevance to many many people is dust in the wind. Gone. Movies, booze, bar/restaurants, so many of the things making him money now, never would have e happened if he weren't a fighter, and i imagine he's worried of the affects him saying hes done, will have on future ventures. Plus, if he just dangles that carrot once in awhile, it keeps interest alive in terms of relevance and fandom.
Idk that training means hes got a foot in the door, there are many retired fighters who still train but don't have the slightest interest in returning or staying in the game competitively. Think figthers just do it mostly out of habit.
Conor started in humble beginnings. This is just an example of not being ready, no one guided him about how to react and deal with being a millionaire. Just like young college athlete that grew up poor and suddenly became a first round draft pick and blew there money or made stupid decisions. What a shame because I was a huge Conor McGregor fan😔
Conner is a classic case of how being super hungry when you're coming up turns into having no appetite left for defending titles and literally being ruined by your success.
Chael I train with my brother quite frequently. We spar hard and grapple for long sessions. We never plan on competing we do it for fun and it’s a hobby you’re wrong about that
That's a good observation. That's strictly driven for a pay day. There is no young person's mentality of competition , striving for a ultimate career end goal like a championship title. It's just a paycheck
Anyone who thought Connor was returning needs to re-examine how they look at the tell-tale-signs of someone who isn't returning. Even Dana's reactions to Connor tells us he was doubtful.
Conor can came back and fight as many worked celebrity boxing matches as he would want. Either public or private invitation. And do that till he is 57.
I said two weeks before his fight with Chandler, before had been called off, that he'd never fight in the UFC again. I got absolutely ROASTED for it and rightfully so. It hadn't been called off yet, as I said. Lol
Steve Carell won an Oscar for best actor in his first true attempt at a super serious role. The movie was a biopic about wrestling. Chael should know this.
6:34 also wondered why he would come back. Media companies and UFC make lots more money him playing the role he is playing. The role is the fantasy of the view/buying audience, being a very good fighter, successful business started from the money then being a movie star even for one movie. He has the life many want so they support him help him stay away from fighting which is the last action he would want to take.
Why did you never discuss the court case? I think that's going to have a big influence on him trying to continue fighting. The dude just lost a lot of his investments over this, so he probably needs to make money.
I don't think his career has to be over... I think his chances of ever having a UFC Championship belt again is over. I think if he wanted to fight he could stay ranked for another 2-4 years and make some serious cash. Sadly, it wasn't fight damage or father time that curved his fighting career... It was silk sheets, excess nose candy, and hookers/groupies that did it. It's a real shame he didn't/couldn't wait 3-5 more years before living out his Frat boy dream lifestyle. He had a decent shot at becoming a champion in three weight classes.
Nobody comes back from a leg break as bad as that and are even half as good as they were before the break, if they are in the very small minority that manage to come back at all. I would love a couple more fights from him, but even if we get that, in my heart of hearts I know it will be sad to watch. Best to just leave it be and ride into the sunset.
Connor knows hes done, he might wanna fight again but he isn’t mentioning contenders he wants to fight chandler, he is the wealthiest fighter he isn’t dumb
He's probably finished fighting. However, the recent scandal won't break him financially as many had predicted. I was astounded to see my local shop started stocking his booze just this week. Never before through all his good times. And now, after such a distasteful scandal, his reach is spreading even farther. Assuming the same is replicated across the country, and perhaps many countries, he'll be just fine on the financial front.

These ads are wild. A full minute talking about Jocko fuel lmao wtf
Hi chael
I click on Chael's stuff ~10% as much as I used to because of all the ads...
Stop whining and just skip the intro. Everyone has to make a living.
He's trying to make a living and providing you entertainment for free. Lol.
@nbooi bro he works for ESPN he's already making a living and his channel has been declining his views are low hrs not Making a lot from TH-cam
@bb8942 so he should just quit striving for more?
@@nbooi Paying for ad free. It's actually a thing.
Him, ARRON, and LaBron, .....JUST GO AWAY ALREADY
Shit has been over when is the last time he fought
It has been over since Floyd.
It’s been over for years
What would be the point to come back and beat someone who keeps losing when you were a former a double champ? I wouldn't have the motivation either.
New Ufc fans say Conor, Who da fook is that guy? You did it to yourself Conor.
chel sonang
Here’s the “why” Chael: there are plenty of more amateurs out there with lots of money not called Dana White and not with the corporates to answer to. Someone will take a chance on him, due to massive potential upside - regardless of backlash!
I thought most people assumed he wouldn’t be back after he pulled out in June. He’s cried wolf too many times to this point and nobody will believe it until he makes the walk at this point.
He is right no doubt, it’s been over since the leg was broken dude
I agreed with that observation. And I have seen others point that out. I think he was gaping his fight out put when he was healthy, considering he had the mega endorsements to sit on.
After the leg break he probably realized his mma fighting career was permanently over for good.
We were just being worked to keep his name ...social media relevant, for his other business deals
@You’re 100% right, just let him go simple as that he is not relevant anymore
Said that a long time ago... and that I was sick of hearing about his next imaginary fight
Sir, Roy Jones has one of the greatest sports anthems of all time
Chael I train with my brother quite frequently. We spar hard and grapple for long sessions. We never plan on competing we do it for fun and it’s a hobby you’re wrong about that
If watching these have taught me anything is that Chael is definitely heavy in the stock market
Usually when people talk about fighting a Paul brother that it for their career
That's a good observation. That's strictly driven for a pay day. There is no young person's mentality of competition , striving for a ultimate career end goal like a championship title.
It's just a paycheck
10 minutes in and Chael still hasn’t mentioned Joe Rogan
Good man
Anyone who thought Connor was returning needs to re-examine how they look at the tell-tale-signs of someone who isn't returning. Even Dana's reactions to Connor tells us he was doubtful.
Dude…Connor is DONE. I wouldn’t even want to see him come back and fight Cowboy or some lame BKFC reject anyway.
Conor can came back and fight as many worked celebrity boxing matches as he would want. Either public or private invitation. And do that till he is 57.
Absolutely right uncle chale
Pretty sure Chael recent received stock market advertisement from someone
Pray for. Mac. Gregor. 0:39
Steve was great in that movie, but Chael is right, people didn’t watch it. It was a box office bust.
I'm kind of amazed Conor has kept himself in shape.
Somehow this is the most sense chael has made in a non serious bit.
Deep down, Chael knew this 2 years ago. And so did we.
It’s actually insane that the UFC don’t put Conor in for fights… I really wonder why they haven’t done it.
Masterpiece. The Greatest Trash-Talker of all time talking about the 2nd best Trash-Talker of all time.
Ok for the millionth time, no one cares about McTapper anymore!!
"No one is covering Conor" and "I know this question has come up a hundred times"
Chael starting to look more and more like Manny Pacquiao‘s manager with sunglasses every day
Connor knows hes done, he might wanna fight again but he isn’t mentioning contenders he wants to fight chandler, he is the wealthiest fighter he isn’t dumb
We've already known this for 3 years
He has a chance to redeem himself.
But sadly, may never take that chance ✌️
I've been saying it for years here on Rogan's forums and anywhere else did Conor McGregor will never fight in the UFC again
The fact that Rogan thinks this now is completely scary. Like what made him run it wasn’t over for years ?
You're still making videos Young Man? We need a Speaker of The House! (hint, hint)hahaha
Khabib really smeshed his soul 😂😂😂
Wasn't khabib, it was the Floyd fight..
Khabib broke his spirit, Poirier broke his leg. 💀
0:01 Jocko fuel is TRT?
7 mins in. I've just no idea what chael is talking about. None at all!
Man I wish I could disagree with Joe but I think he’s right. The fight game will miss Conor for sure.
