"You know what stops adventuring? MURDERING." xD Great preview - your VA on the intro was super underrated, mad respect. Also, Spartacus getting a trident is a golden moment.
Thanks to Tom ranking Dual of Ages as one of his favorite narrative games I started looking into it. Now, based on your recommendation I grabbed a copy of Worldspanner. I hope that you give the game some more coverage as it really is a unique game that deserves more love.
Great run through. There is a ton to this game and after playing the game things look like they just start to click into place. I love the variety that you get with this game and all the different game modes. No two games will ever be the same and each game will have its own story. Duel of Ages II is my favorite game of all time and I know that this one will replace that.
Late to the party but here's a question, do you think worldspanner is worth getting over duel of ages 2? I'm interested in the game, trial backed this latest one, kinda a little worried about the streamlining and simplification between duel of ages 2 vs this, as someone who plays monster wargames for fun
This is, for my tastes, the best version of the game. Yes the previous version had a bit more variety in the characters, but it wasn’t always meaningful or fun variety. And having solo/coop options raises the value a lot for me
Thanks Mike. Don't recall seeing this system before. It's not for me as there is still a lot going on even after streamlining, too much for my little brain! lol I would like to play it coop, but sadly that wouldn't happen often enough to justify getting Worldspanners. The game does look fun. The thought of an axe wielding serpent in a buckskin jacket was hilarious to me Makes me think of a snake doing a Neil Young impersonation! lol
If you take the campaign parts away and just play skirmish mode, setup isn’t bad at all. But yes, playing the game can be involved and require tracking many things
@@OneStopCoopShop thanks for the reply :) it might just be a me thing, but because I play a lot of solo games, i tend to like the more simplified variants or setups, or maybe I'm just picky with what i like :p so many choices to choose from though so theres that.

I wanted him to dual wield a trident and a net for full immersion 😜
Full immersion is a must. 😄
@@OneStopCoopShop I love the wonky things you can do. A pile of Weewaks, riding a horse, firing 60mm mortar shells everywhere = Priceless
Great run through! I’m a Duel of Ages player, and backer of the Worldspanner edition, so it was awesome to see some of the new parts in action.
I have everything from the original and doa2 releases. Definitely my grail game. Cannot wait to get this one as well
I feel the same way
Your VA for the campaign intro was great, I'm just getting even more excited for this to come out now!
Thank you!!
I really enjoyed your narration at the beginning!
Thanks for this one, great preview

If they remember to send me a copy I definitely will :)

Yeah, as much as I enjoyed playing DOA2 this wins if only for the fact that it has solo/co-op options 😅

Excited for this!
I have over 130 board games and I feel like a newbie who’s only played Monopoly…once…like what did I just watch? There is so much going on. 😂
Haha, sorry, I’ve been playing this series for so many years it was tougher for me to explain slowly!
Thanks Mike.

He keeps on searching for a heart of gold… so he can chop it up 😜

Cost to much to have the solo :(
