They’re both so pretty! I think my favorite is the original in the black white grey and gold. It’s just so classy and striking! Thank you for another great tutorial! :-) ~TC
Your quilts are beautiful! Thanks for keeping the tradition of quilting alive. I appreciate the way you give clear instructions. Keep making great videos!
Thank you Krista. Love this baby quilt! Putting it on my quilt list, as I have 3 to make this year! So bright and cheery! Love your videos, you explain everything so clearly and easy.
This tutorial was published at the perfect time. My daughter bought your honeycomb quilt pattern and I’m making it for her as a wedding present. I look forward to viewing more of your tutorials 😀
Krista Moser I’m getting closer to finishing my daughters quilt. I’m making it queen sized (almost king actually) I don’t see a way to post pics here. But would love to share 😀
PS, I really like the gold one, too. I don’t usually care for modern quilts, but this is spectacular! I love the texture & the way you quilted it, + the way the gold shimmers. Fabulous!
I bought your pattern as soon as I saw you post the baby quilt on instagram. It is so stunning! I am excited that I already have the large diamond ruler. Thank you for your talent, Krista!
Oh Wow Krista. You are amazing, I love your designs! I need to improve my cutting skill, but when I feel able, I am going to give it a try. Thank you for sharing, Chris-Raleigh NC
Love this quilt pattern. I already have the mini diamond ruler, hoping I can use it to creat the same look only smaller. Your videos are concise and well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes from Russia. First I watched Your master class on another channel, everything is clear even with a poor knowledge of English. Special thanks for the subtitles, if they were also in Russian, it would be great. I subscribed to Your channel and did not forget to click on the bell. Thank You, Krista.
Thanks Krista great tutorial on your Honeycomb Hexagon pattern! The possibilities with this pattern are endless with your choice of Fabrics. Love it! Love Both the Quilts you did. Elegant to Baby Size and Cute! Sew excited to give this Pattern a try. Happy Sewing! xx/oo
Krista, Another great video. You make everything look so easy. Off to buy the pattern. I have so many Jelly Rolls, it will be great to use some. Hugs.🤗
Love the variation you did with the fabrics. What was the fabric line of the gray white and gold? I will purchase this pattern today! Thank you again for the cutting techniques and how to lay this out! Krista, you’re the best!
Thank you Rita! That wasn't actually a fabric line at all... I call this my kitchen sink quilt, because I threw everything but the kitchen sink into it! I literally grabbed everything that was gray or white or cream or white with gold. I used linen and lightweight white denim and lightweight canvas... most of it was from my stash and if I could get a strip out of it I put it in the quilt.
This quilt is EVERYTHING!!! Was the gold an actual shimmer fabric? I can't imagine lame (I don't have the right keyboard to spell that correctly.) It just jumps off that quilt. I just got into Lori Holt and SummerSweet and then this gorgeous modern quilt just makes me fall in love. If you happen to find a selvage on that gold, can you please share??? I don't know why I've never seen your channel, but I'm on board! Your patterns call my name!
That gold is actually dressmakers satin. I pressed a lightweight fusible interfacing on the back before cutting my strips... There are woven metallic fabrics on the market now, but at the time I made this my options were minimal.
Hi Bleu! Are you hoping for a kit of these fabrics? I haven't done kits for anything yet... but that's a good idea I will probably revisit in the future! These fabrics were all either solids or prints that read as solids. I bet if you took the pic into a fabric store they would be able to find something close!
@@kristamoser Hello Krista. YOU ARE SIMPLY AWESOME!!! I am so out done that you replied so quickly to my comment. Thank you so much! I apologize for my typing errors. Yes that's what I was thinking too. In the city where I live they have but closed all but one major fabric store like Hancock Fabrics. I don't know if you had any an you area or not. But we still have JoAnna's and Hobby Lobby. Me I am a persistent person when I want something I will search the world wide internet until I find the fabrics.I have went as far as ordering fabric from New Zealand when I couldn't find it in the U.S. I am also a fan of MSQC Jenny Doan's quilting tutorials. I have been pretty successful in finding most of the quilting fabrics that she has used in her quilting tutorials when the fabrics were sold out. If you wouldn't mind me having the name of the quilting fabrics you used to make your quilt I would love to have the names, but if not, I definitely would understand if you didn't. I do thank you again for taking the time to reach out to me. You certainly have made my day! I believe I also signed up for you newsletter on your website, I think.
@@kristamoser P.S. Krista. Yes that would be awesome if you start having quilting kits for your quilts. They are so beautiful I'm sure you would make a lot of $$$
It really depends on how many strips are in each jelly roll. You can find the strip count and cutting info on the first page of the pattern! Here is a link to that. www.kristamoser.com/product-page/honeycomb-hexagon
I really like it, a while ago I did one similar called “Lug Nuts” in Canadian theme fabrics. I didn’t cut the points and wish I did, the blocks were difficult to square up with all the points. I did iron the seams open though. Good tutorial.
Hi Barbara! I have to keep some secrets ;) but the pattern has all the dimensions for both sizes of strips and how many of each to cut. Here is a link to the pattern page, www.kristamoser.com/product-page/honeycomb-hexagon-1
Today is the day I challenge myself to do this pattern as a extended border to a panel that was purchased.💝💝💝 Thank you for this tutorial.
