    Watching this with my 2 year old Pro 82 lol. Yeah the first great thing about this headphone is how comfortable it is. I wear glasses and have big ears and yet they don't hurt me. Plus the cups fold to the side so you can lay them on the table. The second great thing is how great they are for gaming - that's the reason Cooler Master used them as the basis for their MH751/MH752 headsets. For competitive games you can use bass port at 1 or 2, for adventure/atmospheric/racing games 2 or 3. Pro 82 picks out details like a king!
    Sadly, you HAVE to take good care of the earpads since apparently no one sells replacements. Cooler Master used to, but not anymore. This is because the earpads are "clipped" to the cups with clips, yes they are easily removable but kind of proprietary. After 2 years of daily usage, my 82's earpads are falling apart; still usable tho.
    On the sound, I find them too bright, especially as there's a big treble peak somewhere around 9~11kHz. But it's fixable with EQ and besides, the reason I daily drive them is because comfort is king. There's no point in buying a better headphone if they hurt my ears/head.

      I will try to see what other earpads may work with Pro 82. Usually you can find something off AliExpress that has similar dimension and may fit

    • @Ausemere
      @Ausemere 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@donglemadness Yes, it's possible to use aftermarket earpads, I myself tried some from Misodiko. Brainwavz also fit. However, the way of fitting them is by forcing their back "cap" behind the cup. And 99% of the earpads you'll find that fit have more distance between ear and driver, so that changes the sound (and that's before accounting for different materials yet, like velour). Anyway, try removing your 82's earpads to check out how their work, it's pretty interesting tho also annoying. Also, the earpads have a removable extra padding inside them, you can take them off and use them somewhere LOL.

    One of the very key reason for any audiophile , or just music lovers who routinely enjoy contents on Headphones is simply a fact that one cannot judge any track if one do not even know how the track is like as it comes , a start point, a ZERO position ... a good Monitor headphones inform the listener how the material , the track should be like as it is , then one can judge how one would want to be able to enhance the listening experience by choosing a proper setup , or applying the EQ . or ...

    I don't have the Takstar Pro 82, but I do have the HyperX Cloud Core which is essentially a Takstar Pro 80. I'm sure it doesn't sound the same, but I enjoy it. Comfortable, good sounding headphone. I bought one for my nephew for Christmas when he asked for a goofy RGB headset. 😂

      @@tri86 Purpose of the Impedance Adapter
      - Reduce Hiss Noise and reduce Distortions of highly sensitive Headphones/IEMs when connected to a High Power Source/Amp.
      - Reduce the loudness, can adjust the level more precisely.
      - Change Sound Signature depending on the Impedance response of the Headphone/IEM.
      If the Impedance response of your Headphone/IEM is almost Flat, there will be almost no change except for reducing Hiss Noise, reducing distortions, and reducing loudness.
      If the Impedance response of your Headphone/IEM has LOW higher than MID and HIGH, it will increase Bass when listening at the same loudness.
      You can check the impedance response of your headphones/IEMs from Reference-audio-analyzer, Audio Science Review and Diy-audio-heaven, etc.

      This Pro 82 is what you need then. Switch to option 2 or 3 when listening to music/movies and perhaps to 1 when gaming. You just need to consider the 2.2m long cable if you use your phone. Otherwise FiiO JT1 is also a very solid option, and you get MIC support with JT1
