i miss this man's compositions (meaning new ones coming out every now and then 🙂) I will forever stream the ones we have but my dream of meeting him never came true. His music saved me from teenage suicide in early 80's. I will always be grateful to him and his art. This is almost a biography for me!
One of Jim's best ever - so underappreciated. This should have been as big as Total Eclipse and Bat Out Of Hell in my opinion. I wish the maestro was still with us producing these materpieces.
A wonderful song. There is a demo version of this song on youtube sung by Jim Steinman himself, which he made for the Batmann Musical. The demo version is even much more beautiful in my opinion. Maybe you are interested to listen to the demo version as well.
thanks Petra, I know that version very well, I haven't uploaded it because it's already available elsewhere on youtube. in the Batman demo Jim's voice reminds me a lot of Roger Waters!
I've loved this song since first watching the video of the Dream Engine performing it (the 2006, live in Atlanta one) years ago, and I had no idea there was a demo until today! I LOVE it. Thank you for posting it. Is there an audio file of it you could please send me? Would be really appreciated.
I like it but have to say I much prefer the Jim Steinman vocals version. I always said that this should have been the final song on a Steinman written and produced Bat out of Hell III but sadly that was not to be.

Another majestically beautiful song from the master. The vocal arrangement is awesome! ❤
There will never be another Steinman, a musical and lyrical genius.
Thank you for posting this. WOW. Someone should put all these absolute GEMS on CD and release them.
Lovey song. Made me cry. Jim Steinman has that effect!

so hard to find but one of jims best💖💝💝💝💝
Beautiful song.. Jim Steinman created magical masterpieces!
This makes me think of Batman cradling a dying Catwoman
This is really great! I think the Bat Out of Hell Cast could kill on this.

@@thearchivist3186 It really is similar
Excellent. Thank you for posting.
I did already have all the stuff you've uploaded but I really do appreciate you posting this stuff, this stuff needs to be heard !!
Wow. I love Steinman. This wouldn't be out of place in the Bat musical. Rob Evan and Rob Fowler sound very alike (compliment to both!)

wonder if meat loaf ever recorded this . they must be many songs he did that's never been released
God I hope so.
I think it would have been a great song to close an album on.
Steinman you were singing about me.
He sang about all of us didn’t he?

You are correct, Sir! This would've been JUST that song. It's ashame what could've been. 😕
