I think you have the scribe on upsidedown in the cobak case. Placing the thick side of the scribe on the other side prevents the pen from pressing the power button.
I looked at another review and he definitely has the scribe in the wrong way. Easy mistake to make. when its in correctly the magnetic connection for the pen also works.
Thank you so much for making this video! For the Cobak case, I believe the intention is for the Scribe to be rotated 180 degrees from where you placed it, so the button and the USB C connector are lined up with the cut-out on the hinge of the case, which may relieve some of the frustrations you outlined. Great to see all of these cases in action.
Standing the Scribe so that the wide bezel is on the right, is great for left-handed users like myself- it gives us a good grip for our right hand. The Amazon-branded folio cases have the top hinge for exactly that reason- you can use the tablet either way up. The latest firmware for the Scribe also features an excellent landscape mode- when reading Kindle books, it lets you view pages in 2-column mode. Makes for fast and easy reading!
On the Amazon Fabric case...If you flip the scribe the other direction power button on the left side..you can attach the pen on the right where the "overlap" is. This is how I use it since I mostly use my left hand to hold it.
I was sold on the Scribe until I got to the cases. I really don't want it to be embedded in a case like all of these. The Remarkable 2 feel so great for writing on because the case doesn't add anything to the right-hand side, so your hand isn't rubbing against anything while writing.
I got a Remarkable 2 and I just can't ge tover how amazing the device and case is. I am watching these video's becasue I decided to return the remarkable but have been looking for a case that would be remotly similar to the premeiun leather one the Remarkable 2 has. So far it has been hard to find one.
In some of these demos you have the kindle in the wrong way, which is why the pen blocks the power and the usb c port for example in the fourth case you look at.
I just ordered a Scribe. It was $100 cheaper than yesterday. I’ve spent some time today researching covers and appreciated your review of some aftermarket alternatives to the expensive Kindle covers. For me, one of the benefits of the Kindle cover is the Scribe can be easily removed. Because of its size, I only want a cover to protect the Scribe when I’m not using it. Snapping it into and out of a stiff PU cover with each use seems like a bad idea.
It looks like you did your test with the Cobak with the scrib rotated the wrong way. I'm not having the issues you described if the tablet is turned around. As a right-handed writer, having the tablet with the thick side of the bezel to the left works much better when you want to write, when it comes to reading there is no different whether it's left or right.
@@jeradtech The cut out for the power input and the power button is on the left . The tablet is meant to be inserted opposite to how you were using it.
@@jeradtech Hey there, you have a really nice video here & I seem to like the fabric case too. But now that you've had it for a long time, does it fray too much? I'm hesistant to buy because many reviews say that it frays.
My man, you are holding the tablet wrong... well, at least when it comes how you insert the tablet into the case. That is why you had issues with stylus turning it off. The thin bezel has to be on an outside while the thick bezel has to be on an inside.

this is his smart way to make you comment on the vlog 😂😂😂
Personal preference & left vs right handed

It was upside down, for sure, in this case. Pencil magnet is on the opposite side of the button, too.

Thank you for making an honest video about the cases. It took me way to long to find something that wasn't just a TTS video to sell cases!
You can also stand the kindle virtually with the Amazon cases by just turning the device around so it stands up more.

I bought the Cobak case and its perfect, especially with the compartments for the pen and the replacement nibs.
are these cases compatible with boox note air 3 C?
the flap isn't meant to be used like you folded it, it's a magnetic flap that goes against the back of the case. ;)
Yes it is and also to go against the back of the case. There would be no reason for it to fold otherwise.
Hey there Genius. You put the scribe in upside down in the Cobak case. Otherwise it’s an excellent case

That is odd because everything lines up for me in regards to the case but if I flip it around it does not align properly.

Which case did you go with in the end?
It took me a while but I like the Kindle Fabric case. The premium leather case is really nice but I prefer the texture of the fabric case.

This was helpful, thanks
I just sub "Scribed" to the channel. Helpful video.
Love this and i really thank you for it 🙏❤
Awesome! Thanks Mate....
I love my scribe
Beware, rhe kindlw scribe fabric case frays on the sides almost immediately. Honestly its not acceptable. Stay clear.
My 8 months old Amazon fabric case looks horrible now ..😢 the worst part is it wasn’t that cheap to begin with. Sucks

Ты кверх ногами вставляешь книгу. Разберись вначале. Кнопка у тебя нажимается ручкой потому что ты не туда вставляешь.
