DIY Mudroom & Home Office Makeover For My Dad!

- I transformed a cluttered room in my parents’ home into a clean and organized mudroom and home office with a custom mudroom locker built-in and corner desk!
I am so grateful to my amazing friends at The Home Depot for helping me make this space come to life for my parents! This space was easy to make possible with their in-app paint calculator & online ordering! I chose some seriously stunning home décor and home improvement items from The Home Depot and was able to pick them up in-store, curbside, or from their pickup lockers after my full time job each day!

Everything looks FABULOUS!
I feel awkward leaving a comment on videos that have been posted over a year or more. I’ve been watching so many mudroom makeovers for ideas. I know I don’t want IKEA products (even IKEA hacks) and I don’t want the mudroom “tree”. This is my favorite mushroom by far!!! Because my mudroom area is a niche I can just customize the measurements. Stunning job on this project! Oh, by the way, the fact that you also added the office space as well is that much nicer. Thank you!!

I have the exact same issue finding baskets to fit my custom closet. Short of paying fortune (more than cork flooring for his cost!) for custom made baskets.
What I decided to do is make my own. I'm going to make wooden slat crates for the larger baskets for bulky linens blankets & picked up some flat card board that I'll cut to size & wrap w a material &/ or heavy decorative paper.
I may make them all out of wood, much more comfortable w my power tools than sewing machine

Such a huge difference!! That mudroom build is fantastic!! Gotta admit tho, watching you seal makes me cringe a little. Instead of wiping the whole length of the sealant, do it in smaller sections. Wiping your fingers often avoids the huge mess of excess seal squeezing out around your finger😁 Also, spraying a little soapy water over the sealant before wiping will glide it better and makes cleaning it off your finger a little easier;) Hope this trick makes your life a little easier😁
