- Learn to create treemap charts in Excel for powerful exploratory data analysis (EDA). In this full tutorial series I will introduce you to some of the most useful data analysis techniques in business analytics using trusty old Excel.
Throughout the series I will show you how to use the best that Excel has to offer for EDA:
1 - The mighty Data Analysis ToolPak
2 - Data visualizations like histograms, box plots, bar charts, scatter plots, and treemap charts.
3 - Pivot tables
4 - Pivot charts
These are the same techniques that I've used in my hands-on analytics work (e.g., as part of my EDA for building machine learning models).

The most useful thing I learned in this video is the way you managed to change the pivot table format, I didn't know you can do that! This will be useful for me
@-Hussainnn - Glad to hear it! Excel is a huge platform these days. There's always something new to learn.

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words.
Thank you @David Langer for creating "EDA with Excel" series, enjoyed all the sessions.
Thank you, Pooja! Glad you found the tutorial series useful.
You are really a good teacher! I watched all seven videos to explore data in Excel. All of them were quite informative and educational even though I had previously learned how to create these charts. I am definitely going to watch the R course and machine learning video.
I have just finished all series on EDA in Excel. Simply awesome!
Excellent technique and clear explanation. Thank you so much
I just watched all the series, thank you very much, all the information has been very usefull, i'm trying to analyze food prices by category and subcategory.
The best tutorial as usually THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank you for the feedback, very much appreciated!
Glad you found the content useful.
@7:57 and my last #outofcontext comment ;) thx for the gr8 video series
Thanks. Your videos are very resourceful.
The tree maps are much more advanced in Power Bi. That is why we clean and transform the dataset in excel and use power bi for data modelling and visualization.
Thank you for sharing your workflow! Interestingly, you use Excel for data wrangling and not Power BI. Any particular reason?
ya when u look at the treemap and all you could hear is 'femaaaale' and 'maaale'
Maybe we should make one on who has to sign up for Selective Service
