Eddie Bello was doing this back in 1999 when import racing was just getting national recognition. I think he was running low 9's back then. Eddie would always pack the stands when he made a pass because they new it was going to be spectacular! Carrying the front wheels to mid track. However, the AIM house car is VERY impressive! They are definitely getting the job done in both the suspension and power department!
The RUF 911 that used to cruise around on my base in Frankfurt in 89-90 and do autoX on part of the parking ramp also says otherwise.. it didn't sound like a six at all. Owner said it was kinda like a regular turbo 911 until about 100mph, then it got 'stupid' on Bahn 5 out the front gate.
I wonder if these guys know that the best publicity they will ever get is the free marketing of getting interviewed by 1320. They seemed super complacent about it.
Small market, those who know, know. Not everyday you get someone walking in the door spending $100k in drag performance in a Porsche. If it had an LS swap on the other hand, you would be selling bald eagle cams left right and center. Be prepared to pony up when the invoice comes in.

Congratulations on the quick Porsche. It's almost as quick as the top fuel Harley dragster my uncle raced 50 years ago. He typically ran 8.5 seconds at 155-160 mph. Well done!

I remember a few years ago founding car magazines from the eighties belonging to my uncle and in one of them they had an interview with a local guy (back then) whom also raced top feul bikes. The bike in the article had a supercharged 1100cc yamaha 4cylinder engine😂😂😂😂 unfortunately I can't recall any stats of the bike but I remeber there were fotos include of how the engine looked after each race and they had to put a 1 inch plate between the biker and the engine incase the supercharger exploded😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@DomBounty aside from the GT2s, all turbo 911s are AWD from factory. This one also seems to be AWD, since you can see the wheel start to spin aggressively once it comes off the surface, much faster than the car is going, thus a driven wheel.

They're actually really difficult to drag race, thus why they generally run much slower than equally powered GTRs etc. They struggle at the line, but are amazing in the back half.
