I have to give props to Fox and NASCAR. What started off as a fun replacement for one race seems to be taking off and they are trying to give the fans something to enjoy. That effort earns points in my book.
That win will probably earn Timmy Hill some sponsors when racing in the real world begins again. More sponsors = more funds to work with = better equipment = better chance of winning.
I love how everybody's buying insane racing rigs as a lil write off for home training later and Hill wins it on a 250 dollar wheel I have at home. I gotta buy a subscription to iRacing and jump on an oval

Granted iRacing isn't real life i'm sure there are some differences, especially the physical requirements. Although having all of these virtual races might change a few things in the long run for some of these guys if they keep running like this.

As a young simracer, im glad to see older folks recognizing how competitive virtual racing can be. Most people don't understand the physics programming that goes in to this kind of thing and it's incredibly realistic. A few years ago any talk in motorsport regarding virtual racing would be met with condescending laughter but people are finally taking it for what it is, an incredibly accurate simulation of real racing. i just wanna see people's reaction to iracing in VR with a nice setup. It's the pinnacle of gaming to me lmao
Most people don't realize that a lot of training and setting up of race cars in Nascar and F1 etc are done with sims like iRacing as a base. rFactor Pro is not too different to iRacing or rF from driving dynamics point of view.
I think iRacing is great for the sport not everyone can work their way into a real NASCAR ride but we can all get a copy of the game and watching a real driver do what we do at home it is very relatable and fun to watch keep it up NASCAR! Good job

This is great, as good as it is now, as the technology improves it will do nothing but get better and better, I could see NASCAR staging eNASCAR races on the same weekend with regular NASCAR races with Cup Regulars along with iRacing regulars and stage a year long competition and crown a championship at the end....

Looks like they gave the cars a little extra grip at Texas from last week at Homestead? They sure were making some good saves that probably wouldn’t had happened. Homestead had more yellows which brought the field back together more often and fun to watch. Texas race wasn’t as fun to watch

I like it but I have to ask how long before they make a special class of unlimited cars. Like the animation of the same name. And special tracks that can’t exist in real life. A loop on the track. And cars that have more power than what they have in real life.
I wish F1 would have gotten its self setup virtually as well as Nascar has... This was way better, and yet they are somehow the pinnacle of motorsport.

Iracing is spritual successor for nr2003,only the differences is you have to subscribe to race in multiple motorsport category
NR2003 is to this date the fame with the most real life adjustments to the car. Did Iracing implement those same adjustments??
