Production knives pay the bills and fill your belly, but art/custom knives feed your soul as a creator. I tried to commission a working knife from a TH-camr that made cool knives IMO, and he was initially really excited about it but after his first response he ghosted me. His loss and mine, because I would have paid as much as $1300 for a eastern style cleaver that looked really cool.

1084 does take on a great dark etch if you do all of the steps properly. This is my first time etching AEB-L and it took a pretty decent etch in the end

Does that steel etch better then 1095 and damascus
