Swimming Florida's Crystal Waters of the Forgotten Rainbow Springs Amusement Park

This vlog is all about our visit to Rainbow Springs State Park in Florida. The park's central attraction is of course Rainbow Springs. And the best part is you can swim in it! Yes there is the potential for alligators to swim with you but at least its so clear you would see them!
Rainbow Springs also has an interesting past. Turns out prior to Disney and all the other theme parks in florida, rainbow springs was the main attration, and i mean theme park. They turned the springs into an attraction with boat rides on the springs, a zoo, rodeo and more. We had the opportunity to walk through what was left of the old theme park and it was kinda creepy and kinda really cool!
The rainbow springs are the headwaters for the rainbow river. As you can see in the video the waters are amazingly clear. They come out of the earth at 72 degrees which in 60 degree air feels great!. In the summer when its 100 out 72 will also feel nice and cool! Also in the summer people come out and tube down the river. Can you imagine tubing down the rainbow river in this amazing water with a cold one on a hot day! Awesome and totally on our bucket list for the future!
We were almost the only ones there but had such a great time and will be back!

Went there as a child for a few summers in the 60’s and I still remember the incredibly cold and beautiful clear water. There’s nothing like it! Gotta go again‼️❤️ Glad it is still there💖

Super video! Boy that sure beats 49° and NO hot springs in western NY! What's the deal with the drones? Is it a possible liability issue? No experience here, so just for general information.

+RxMixer Oh I am not sure what the deal is. Sometimes liability, sometimes they just dont want people disturbing the area with them.... All Florida state parks do not allow flights of any kind within the park bounds.
