Jim GendersTribute

This video is a tribute to Jim Genders soprano cornet player with Bollington Brass Band. Jim died just before Christmas. This was Jim's last solo performance. He helped the Band reach the Brass Band Champinship Section and was looking forward to competing at this level during 2012. The video contains a short end section showing Jim's funeral march through Macclesfield. The Town paused to pay its respects to Jim who was a beat constable in Macclesfield for many years. Not many receive a send off like this and it was well deserved. He will be greatly missed by his family and firends.

OMG so sorry to hear about this. I am back playing brass in New Zealand and recently moved to Soprano Cornet, this guy was my muse, I always wanted to play like him and such a great bloke. This news has made me really sad. RIP Jim. xx Nikki King (nee Davenport) and back then a backrow cornet with Bollington...

R.I.P Jim may you rest in eternal peace and eternal happiness in the garden of the lord. my heartfelt condolences go out to all of jim's family, friends and loved ones at this sad time.
