Thank you so much Teresa for making this video, because I didn’t know that the sewer bladder existed….it took me about 8 tries, but the bladder removed the clog…and saved me a lot of money!!! please make sure you stop up all of the drains inside your house, otherwise water will backup into your house…while the bladder is going, make sure you check your inside drains periodically.
Good video, just have to inform your viewers that using this method might spill sewage back inside the home (kitchen, restrooms, washer, etc) but of you're willing to clean the mess, go for it!
in brooklyn ny the bathroom sink in the basement was clogged jammed the hose into the pipe best i could with a towel .. i went into the yard turned the hose on for 3 pulses of five seconds .. when i went back inside there was no mess i took out the hose some water came out of the wall pipe so i thought i failed .. but i didnt this video solved the problem .. when i hooked the other pipes the sink just flowed right with no issue this was a life saver
I just used that in my summer home, drain hasn’t been cleaned out for years as I was told. But my Bladder blaster cleared it out good. The clog did move to the shower line after but I used it there too.. and job is done working great.
A kitchen or bathroom sink clog is often in the bend of the piping and can be easily removed by taking that apart with a bucket underneath, it is super easy to do. Also, a wet/dry vac is great for these things. Toilet clog is a different game, but often I have gotten that out by putting a bottle of dish soap into the toilet and letting it sit for about 30 to 60 min, then plunging and it usually works like magic!
Make sure hose has a vacuum breaker or you could contaminate your water pipig(sewage can flow back). Also make sure there are no other fixtures between bladder and clog or water will go there
I wonder if she knew they were going to use a photo like that? That picture was worth a thousand words and not one of it is clean. 😂😂 "How to clear a clog in your plumbing." 🤣

And explaining a basic thing is one thing, but other times there is a lot more that goes into something and you can't teach that in a comment. There is a reason our apprenticeship is 5 years.
I stick in the hose and wrap the cloth around to make a good seal. But I kink the hose about a foot back then release. This creates a momentary pressure into the pipe, Then kink the hose again and release until the pipe is cleared.
Snake the drain first to start the process, then use the pulsator to push the loosened gunk...AND... Pay attention to all hints about dealing with other lines feeding into the main so you don't get back-ups through other drains. Think it through!
When using a blow bag to clear a pipe what you're really doing is creating a direct cross connection between the sanitary sewer and the potable water piping system
Anyone using the bladder, make certain it's pointing at the sewer side..amd not back to your house drains. Also, make certain your hose adapter on the end is in really good shape and can't disintegrate or blow the joint apart when you attach the bladder. Of course, only do this at your own risk and only if you're handy and confident I'd say. Go careful
@@barneyrubble4827 you won't save that, that's what you'll spend when you flood your house with sewage. But it also might back up sewage into your house and do nothing but give you extra damage cuz you wanted to save a few hundred bucks.
The best part is, in an effort to save the cost of hiring a licensed plumber, you do it yourself and when you are sure the drain is unclogged and flowing, having let the hose run for 5 to 10 more minutes just to make sure, you go inside to find 2 inches of sewer water throughout your entire house. I am a plumbing contractor with over 50 year's experience. I've seen this exact scenario more times than you'd believe. Do yourself a favor and call a licensed, insured professional plumber.

@nadogrl It's not, really, but the catch is, you have to know what you're doing. "I" can use a blow bag and get it right every time, but "I" have 48 year's of hands-on field experience.
It's like this guy I knew went under his house trying to do bathroom plumbing repairs. He messed something up and the wood rotted underneath the bathroom. one night he was taking a sht and the toilet fell through the floor.

I have a nasty bathroom sink clog from hair cholesterol build up from 15 years ago, and haven't really used the sink since then. Is there a way to unclog it at this point?

Take the trap off and clean it out. Run a little hand auger through that (not towards the sink, but down into the drain you just took the trap off of). That will probably fix it. Or you can use chemicals, there are ones that work on hair. But actually follow the instructions. Side note, if you use chemicals and ever call a plumber after that make sure you let him know. Nobody wants to get sprayed with caustic substances without proper ppe on.
Do not use this method if your sewer line is backed up due to a rain or snow storm You'll end up flooding your basement The drian king works fantastic if there is a legitimate clog
my issue is in the furnace room. someone put the drainage for the kitchen sink, upstairs, and basement toilet and sink, all in one drain... bit stupid id u ask me!!and men get these jobs!!! LOL now i have a flood and sewage smell.
Don't recommend ... You can flood out your shower or toilet and you don't just put it in and turn it on. You push it down to the clog and then turn it on. Making sure the line is not connected elsewhere, where it can create a blow back in another open drain in the house. Great tool for professional or educated home owners. Very poorly explained don't recommend doing this as a home owner with no experience.
@@d3ofol yeah you have to be careful and know how your drain lines are running. If you are using it to unclog a common line then you have to put a test plug on the drains that share that common line. It’s pretty simple to know if your clog is on a common line. If for example your kitchen sink overflows when you run the shower upstairs then they are on a common line. It’s best to just use a snake or call a plumber. Because yes your home owners insurance will cover water damage from a sudden and accidental loss even if you caused that loss it will still be covered but why go through all of the restoration and repair when you could have just spent the $500 or so to call a plumber
@@d3ofol it’s best to use the drain bladders on drains when you can actually *see* the pipe and you can be sure that there is no connecting drains or pipes like a vent stack. In all of my time as a plumber I only use the drain bladder on a rare occasion as a weapon when I am having problems snaking a drain or I really want to clean out a bunch of grease. Like for a main sewer line a bladder won’t clear out roots but if you have a lot of grease in there it can help after a good snaking
