    I was 13 and having rehearsal for a play I was in all afternoon and couldn't see the game live. We were taping it (still have the VHS somewhere), and I just had a good feeling all day that the browns could pull off the win. When my mom came to pick me up, she asked if I wanted to know what happened. At first I said no, but after a moment I quickly changed my mind, asking if we had won. She screamed YES! and I immediately broke down in tears. I don't know if I'll ever see the browns play in or win a Super Bowl, but I'll always have 1994.

      Justin: I'm a San Diego Chargers fan, so 1994 will always be special for me as well. I remember when the Steelers hammered the Browns in the playoffs that year, NO ONE gave the Chargers a chance to go in there and win. The Steelers and their fans were hugely confident (deservedly so) and were bragging that my Chargers wouldn't even score. I was 13 years at the time as well. We were able to shut down their run, which the Browns were not able to do. We kept the game close and then stole it from them at the end. Biggest win ever for me as a Chargers fan.

    As a 13 year old 49ers fan I was listening to this game on the radio on the way to church, this was huge for the 49ers, it meant we were in position to get homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, which they did and the defeated the cowboys in candlestick park to go on to the super bowl.

      This was the greatest Browns game since the Bernie Kosar days. The Cowboys were the defending Superbowl champions and the Browns had a division championship on the line (which they eventually lost to Pittsburgh). A close 2nd place game would be the Browns vs the Falcons in 2001. That one also ended with a goal line stand and sent the Browns to the playoffs.

  • @redmustangredmustang
    @redmustangredmustang 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you look right at 0:03 Novacek slipped and fell down. He was going to go in the endzone, but you can see his feet slip causing the short of the goaline. Turner was able to get his head down to stop him just enough. That wasn't a good tackle, just a slippage that benefited the Browns. If the Cowboys won that game, they would have 2 losses which would have given them more incentive to keep their starters in against the Giants to earn home field advantage. The 49ers would have played the NFC championship in Dallas and not in San Francisco.

    • @coreyrowe1627
      @coreyrowe1627 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 49ers probably would've tried a little harder in their final game of the season as well if they needed it tho. Even if the cowboys did win this game and the finale vs the giants, I'd assume the 49ers probably would've played their starters the entire finale and gotten the win putting both teams at 14-2 for the season. The 49ers still would've had the home field advantage if that was the case because of the head to head victory against Dallas in the regular season.

    if Novacek scores here you could make a case the Cowboys win 4 straight Super Bowls.
    The Cowboys sat their starters week 17 so you would assume they beat the Giants and finish 14-2. San Francisco, who owned the tiebreaker over Dallas, was 13-2 heading to week 17 at Minnesota so they already had home field clinched and ended up losing 21-14, pulling starters as the game went on. If the game was meaningful for the 49ers they probably win, but the Vikings were tough that year. I'd give Minnesota a 40% chance of winning at home vs 49ers starters
