Tips I can share with you for memorising the Quran. 1.have a spot where you memorise. Even in the masjid, we had out spots, facing the wall to avoid distractions 2.specific pray mat, kitab holder, (I used to even wear the same prayer gown) 3. Sheikh khaleel alhusairy was the reciter we were advised to learn from, to avoid tajweed errors. 4. Best mushaf, the uthmani kitab, as tajweed rules are highlighted. And it’s a good visual. You can take a mental picture of the whole page. 5. Of course your intentions and Dua above all. 6. Friendly competition. There was always a sister ahead everyone wanted to catch up to. 7. When you become stuck in an ayah, Listen to the story of the ayah? What is it telling you? Write down your Quran word for word as you recite. Long but at least handwriting will improve. 8. Of course watch what you eat. Quran needs attention from body, mind, soul. Please do more Quran related videos. I love all your content.

Asalamu alaykum 💖 whew 9:47 I needed this reality check! Every sentence rang true, subhanAllah. As a busy person doing hifz, hearing “there is no shortcut with the Quran” and “the Quran demands time from you” really hit. We don’t get all of the benefits of memorizing the Quran Allah and His messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم have narrated to us for a cheap price. On Yawmul Qiyam, it intercedes for its **companions** who have dedicated time and built a relationship with it, not those tho just sat, rushing “memorizing” but retaining little. I really, really needed that reminder. I relate to that part about the after effects of being consistent with your Quran, too. you see and feel the baraka in your daily life. That alone should help continue to drive us inshaAllah. May Allah bless us by making us people of the Quran, and aid us in establishing the consistency we need to maintain hifz. الله يبارك فيك 🤍🌸 Side note: as someone with a clingy cat, the cat scolding got me 😂😭😭
i go to an islamic school with memorization classes every morning from 7:45AM-9:15AM, and we have to memorize an average of half a page everyday, and 1 juz a semester. it's my 3rd semester at this school and 2nd semester memorizing, so right now i'm memorizing juz 29 and it's been such a struggle. i've always been bad at memorizing, and the only reason i was able to finish juz 30 last semester was because i've memorized it before when i was a child. another thing that's been going on is that i've started getting headaches every morning since the start of this year, SPECIFICALLY from around 7:45-9:15AM (which really sucks omg). when i try to tell my teacher, she thinks i'm making it up since it happens so often. i've had so many breakdowns because of this, and i'm really upset because i truly love reading and memorizing the quran, i just wish i could do it at my own pace... i'm so jealous seeing my friends memorizing so quickly, and right now i'm still at surah al-haqqah (we start memorizing from the back of the juz) and my exams are in two weeks. i really don't know how i'm going to memorize 7 really difficult surahs in 2 weeks, but i hope all of you that are reading this can du'a for me. thank you for this video, chimmy! i hope you do well in your memorization journey!!

One tip I have is reading/listen to the qari the portion you want to memorise before you sleep, when I do this I find that its soo beneficial subhanallah. In the morning memorising your portion is a lot easier. As a side note, I struggle a lot with consistency and definitely agree with how important it is. May Allah make it easy for all of us and make us amongst the people of the Quran ameen.

This is falsehood. I heard that jumping off a cliff will make me a millionaire. Would I still do it? No? I would first do some research. There is no such quran verse or hadith regarding this, and Allah hates those who speak without knowledge.
@@ourhaven I don't have much explanation. But basically it's about respecting qur'an. I heard that it should not be placed on the same level as you sit because the value of Quran is huge so its better to at least keep a Quran holder or a pillow on which you keep the Quran. To give it a higher standard and show how much you respect it. I am not sure if it's prohibited to keep the Quran down but it's definitely makrooh I think. Assalamu alaikum

(If you are interested I can tell you the name) The Turks, in history the Osmanly, the famouse Muslims conqures of the Lands in Euroasia, the leader his name was Osman , a muslim man, respectable man, may God reward him the best way, amin. The narration goes like this: when He was in the room where there is Qu'ran, He would stand all the night in Qiyama of the respect. The Holy Book , the God has given us, he wouldn't sleep. There are lot of narration about happenings during Rulers of Osmanly.

being from minute 13 ( love your video by the way) i agree with you with something you are comfortable with trust me when i say this even one word a day will build you up one ayat the two then a page then two. How you ask ( with the promise of Allah ) your brain will ask for more thats how the brain works . baby steps ,remember when we born we didnt just start run jumping ( you get the point) we moved our feet first ( one word) crawl (two,-four words) walk ( 1-3,4,5 Ayats) then walk fast (one page) run jump etc Juz) the brain is a muscle needs to workout everday.i hope this help everyone INSHALLAH

Just one important thing is, reciting with proper tajweed, like exact makharij is more imp than following the tune of qari.... Get a person for yourself to whom you can recite, so they would correct the mistakes, if any

I don't know if you heard about the Ottoman hifdh method. In my opinion that is the best way of memorising Quran. If you want to know more about it, can explain you.

Yes you can still memorize when you aren’t praying. Be sure to not hold a Quran however. There are transliterations, or applications, translation Qurans available to use as an option

WaAlaikum AssalamuAlaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu sis. From what I am aware of, there is a difference of opinion. I believe that it is fine to recite the Quran regardless if you have wudu or not. As for touching the Quran, as long as it is a translation or tafsir as well, and not the actual full Arabic written Quran, it should be fine inshaAllah. Allah knows best!

Hey! I think it depends on each person. I wouldn’t say there is a set average for any individual. It all comes down to the amount of Quran you are able to memorize on a daily basis. If you are consistent with memorizing, you will eventually finish. I believe I finish it in about one month. I was memorizing over a page a day back then
@@ChimmyQ So after finishing Surah Al Baqarah in one month, were you able to recite it from your memory in one go without having to look at it, or did you need to work further for strengthening its memorization. I mean I also finished Surah Al Baqarah in about one month, but am still working on it in order to push it into ny long term memory and to be aboe to recite it effortlessly. I can recite first 31 pages of it in one go as of now and I am working on remaing 18 pages of it. I guess it may take me 10 to 15 days more to be able to recite Surah Al baqarah in one go from my memory. Along with working on this surah, I am also working on surah Aale Imran as well.
Ofcourse you can, there is another video where this creator talks about tips to memorize quran and one of the tips was to record your self reciting during revision and listening to it after while following the quran, and i thought such a useful tip.

Just one important thing is, reciting with proper tajweed, like exact makharij is more imp than following the tune of qari.... Get a person for yourself to whom you can recite, so they would correct the mistakes, if any

AssalamuAlaikum sis! It will take me maybe 1 hour minimum to memorize a page. On average I’d say 1 hour to 2 depending on how difficult I find the page

Yes you can still memorize when you aren’t praying. Be sure to not hold a Quran however. There are transliterations, or applications, translation Qurans available to use as an option

I still keep my same process. The only difference is probably utilizing my phone a bit more, and wearing gloves when touching the Quran

WaAlaikum AssalamuAlaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu sis. From what I am aware of, there is a difference of opinion. I believe that it is fine to recite the Quran regardless if you have wudu or not. As for touching the Quran, as long as it is a translation or tafsir as well, and not the actual full Arabic written Quran, it should be fine inshaAllah. Allah knows best!

Hey! I think it depends on each person. I wouldn’t say there is a set average for any individual. It all comes down to the amount of Quran you are able to memorize on a daily basis. If you are consistent with memorizing, you will eventually finish. I believe I finish it in about one month. I was memorizing over a page a day back then
@@ChimmyQ So after finishing Surah Al Baqarah in one month, were you able to recite it from your memory in one go without having to look at it, or did you need to work further for strengthening its memorization.
I mean I also finished Surah Al Baqarah in about one month, but am still working on it in order to push it into ny long term memory and to be aboe to recite it effortlessly. I can recite first 31 pages of it in one go as of now and I am working on remaing 18 pages of it. I guess it may take me 10 to 15 days more to be able to recite Surah Al baqarah in one go from my memory. Along with working on this surah, I am also working on surah Aale Imran as well.
@@pervaizshiekh7821 don't work on two Sura at the same time. It might confuse you. Learn one new surah and review othe old surah in the mean time.
