Thanks for letting me know about GLP-1 meds. Recently my A1C 5.9 (I take Gluberide and Metformin); but I just talked with my Doctor today and I will be trying to just take Metformin (no more Gluberide). But it is good to know about an alternative (GLP-1s) if I need to take it, rather than Gluberide (which scares me about the long term dangers with the pancreas).
Sir you have mentioned at 0:52 that Glimpiride is a 2nd generation Sulfonylurea, WHICH IS INCORRECT ! It is a 3rd Generation Sulfonylurea ! Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you
Need to combine these two drugs is very common.......your physician will be right person to comment considering your condtion, other diseases you have and other medications going on..........no special risk is there in combining in general......

Sir, glimipride is not cardio safe.. Whereas gliclazide is safe..for heart.. Longer uses of glimipride may destroy the beta cell more as compared to gliclazide. As u r a working class professional.. U should use gliclazide ... Always take medication according to ur Dr consultation..

Glimepiride 1.0 reduced my sugar to 48 and there for I suffered a lot. Now i am Rx with Vilpower 50.
With 2mg mine reduced from 300 to 88.

I have checked in some papers it is mentioned as second generation sulfonylurea
