Here's my thoughts. Get your first 5 ounces in fractional gold (any mix of halves, quarters, 10ths). That way you have small pieces that you can sell in small amounts if you need to. Or barter with in the worst case scenario. The rest you can get 1 oz coins. If you really like fractional gold, you can keep your eye out for good deals, or maybe trade in a 1oz for "change' and pay a slight mark up to the LCS.
Buy what you can buy in the size you want. I agree it’s cheaper to buy a one oz coin than ten 1/10th oz coins, but it’s better to have ten 1/10th oz gold coins than no gold.
I just bought a 10 gram last week, 600.00 When I pulled the money out at my LCS I was still surprised that I had it. And it took a month to save that up. Great video, thanks for the numbers. 👍
I personally like having both fractional and 1 oz coins. I believe they’ll both serve me well in the future. Fractional in that I can liquidate a bit at a time as needed. The 1oz if I have a much bigger need or want.
I've done very well on shield back sovereign,s a little over spot , collecters can't get enough ,no tax here on gold in Scotland ,but 20% on silver plus premium,s ,
Great discussion of premiums for fractional. I always advise people to check out the deals on the modern bullion. But, also the restrikes for LMU and Mexican fractional. They are great options.
Very well said. I love fractional gold and it has served me well over the years. Personally I prefer coins over bars, but that’s just me. 90% or more of my fractional gold is “foreign” gold. I hear lots of folks on TH-cam badmouthing the foreign stuff, but I’ve never had a problem selling it during a peak in spot prices. ✌️
I mainly buy fractional because I don’t want to wait a month (or so) to save for a full oz purchase. Although I know I’m paying more, I enjoy getting mail calls every week. Mainly Sovereigns, 1/4oz and 5g bars. I don’t buy from online dealers so I’m not paying those super high premiums. Coin groups on Facebook allow for smaller premium purchases. Interesting numbers nonetheless! Thx
Campbell's Coins Dude, Thank you for the information, I think that buying less than a quarter once of gold is ''NOT'' a good financial strategy. You can get a lot more ounces if you wait a few weeks or even a few months. I know that budgeting in today's economy is extremely complicated, but in the end, you will be able to buy larger ounces of gold with fiat paper monopoly money, hehe!! Great video. Please continue.
Great comparisons across various good sizes Campbell’s. I buy fractional gold myself even though it’s more expensive in the long-run, but I try to stay away from gram bars. I see it the same way, gold could get a lot more expensive per ounce, so fractionals will retain liquidity. 🔥🦈🌊
Great points, it's expensive stuff the fractional. We're lucky in the UK that sovereigns tend to have a similar premium to 1 oz if you're buying multiples... If I weren't in the UK I'd probably stick to 1 oz
Great video thanks for sharing, I buy my gold per gram and save in unallocated at spot until I cash it in for a physical 1 ounce only paying the premium for a 1 oz, I did this in one of my vids to explain how it works 👍😀
My 2 cents. I think you pretty much nailed everything including the diminishing returns too much to the upside. For gold to me there’s are few sweet spots. 10gram bars, half ounce bars. Coins one ounce, quarter and tenth is the smallest gold. 5oz on the upside is optimal and as you pointed out the 20gr bars.👍
Here's a video showing the importance of owning fractional gold. Thanks for watching!

1/4 oz eagles is the sweet spot in my opinion for those on a tight budget.

These current prices don't matter. In ten years, gold backed currencies will take the value of gold to astronomical levels.
I agree, current fiat prices don't matter.
The lighting you got on these coins is top notch. They look so freakin good.
Thanks much! It's difficult filming and photographing coins.

All excellent points and I agree wholeheartedly. I tell people to stack as they see fit. But for me, I prefer the 1 oz. coins. Great video bro.

Nice buy! Thanks for watching!
I wish they would make more fractional gold Buffalos. But the premiums would be crazy.
I’m with you on that. Maybe not every year though.
You and me both! I doubt the mint could keep up with demand.
Yeah, or special finishes.
The premiums would be about what the fractional eagles sell for. Would be a cool coin though.
I refuse to go under 1/10 but I always shoot for 1/4. I do believe gold will go up in time and premiums will be taken care of.
It's just a matter of time. In the short run it's falling. It will be back up.
I personally like having both fractional and 1 oz coins.

The 1oz if I have a much bigger need or want.
This is why I always measure over spot as a percentage.
Using dollars over spot is deceiving and doesn't properly measure deals.

Buying on oz's is always the best buy. But ..in a economic collapse . Fractional gold is best especially during barter situation .
I agree, I think silver is good for barter situations. Gold more for savings

Definitely! Thanks man!
The tough thing is how even fractional gold pieces can be cheaper at time than finding silver with the premium.
True
Thanks for another good one. I stack fractional exclusively.
Exclusively?! I must know more. Thanks for stopping by T!
@@CampbellsCoins Wish I could afford an ounce of gold at at time, but 1/10 is my go to.

Fractional gold has cost me quite a bit! Always enjoy your comments.
Thank you!
It’s not about what you spent on it it’s how much your going to sell it for later
I have 6 pieces under 1 oz I don’t balk at any of the gold pic ups I have right now. 1 oz is definitely preferable. I really like these videos.
Thanks much!
One of the advantages in Europe is that on most merchant sites, premiums are expressed in %
It's pretty handy for making a comparison.
Well done! I totally get it...I love fractional too, but the full ounce is always a better buy. But, I don't always have the cash for the full ounce!
Excellent Content Sir!

Fractional bars are often cheaper (in $ per oz terms) than 1 oz coins. 20 gram bars (0.643 oz.) seem to be in a sweet spot.

I see people buying and selling 1 gram bars all the time, rarely do see other sizes except 1 oz.
Great video! I don’t buy smaller then 1/10, but that’s just me.
Thank you for taking the time to make this informative video. 😊
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!

Exactly, Investing in today is priceless because tomorrow isn't promised, trading Bitcoins, gold, silver and crypto secure a better Tomorrow.
How I would really appreciate if you show me how to go about it. Please can you list the platforms?
After I came across crypto trading platform of Mr Jamie Saettele my financial life has totally changed.
Same for me, his trading income is mind blowing, I also trade with him. I've made $62,000 so far trading with his guidance/advice
Woo! His good name and work has been everywhere I feel more confident investing with him..
OH please, is there anyway I can speak to Jamie Saettele , this sounds so helpful and would love to join the train and start my trading with him 🙏
....a cheeky gram now and again is good for stack diversity.
It’s all about the same in spot give or take Id rather have 1 oz.
Are not the break away just the same price as an once since you do buy the bulk once or two of them .
Thank you
You're welcome!
Theres less premium on 1/10oz fractional gold, than on a 10oz silver bar
Silver.
Yummy goooooooooooooooooold. ✅
