Banging show once again gents! Little suggestion if you're going to carry on with these longer (40+ min) format videos, strip the audio and chuck it on Spotify as a podcast? Would gladly listen to you two rattle on while I'm at work.
Another great episode full of laughs. It's so refreshing watching 2 regular guys clown around and talk about their passion without having to worry about being TV appropriate. Keep it up guys!
I cannot tell you guys how much this show brightens my week, so bloody funny it has me in fits of child like laughter, and appears to be getting better every week. I am lucky, in that I work in the Middle East and am therefore not in the awful lockdown you guys are suffering (we had a full blown lock down, including curfew last year, so I know how rubbish it is), but I just love the way us Brits face adversity and produce our best, as in your weekly news event. Love the show boys, hope you can get back to BBBs soon, keep safe and carry on regardless.

You guys crack me up 🤣 class show!. I jumped from a DT125 to a CBR1000f last year when i was 25. I've loved every minute and had zero issues in the 6k miles i have done but i agree it would be too much bike for the majority at my age and the mid bikes would be better suited for most especially with the rider aids on the newer bikes etc. I agree with the both of you on that topic. Strangely enough it was cheaper for me to insure the CBR than the DT with it only being £140 for the year 💪🤣. Insurance isn't always a barrier for the newer riders with older big bikes that can go on classic
Thanks for the reminder on Bemoto. My insurance is coming up for renewal in the next few weeks. But I've SORNed the bike from the end of February. Probably won't ride until the start of April. Should I still insure the bike on the renewal date, or wait until it's ready to tax and go on the road? (It's kept in a locked secured garage also known as my home office, by the way, so I can look longingly at it all day).
I must admit I always forget about this show.......But then it pops up on my recommendations and it always makes my week. Love watching you two have a crack.😁

Lads, some good news for next week's show... well its massively lifted my spirits. There is such thing as natural carbonated water! Here in Portugal you have a brand called Água das Pedras that goes side to side with the café and pastel de nata (bet you miss those)

Interesting one on the old 1k bikes. Ive been riding since I was knee high to a grasshopper, got a moped at 16, RD125 LC at 17 then at 19 got onto a restricted SV650. Passed my full test in Dec 19 (aged 23) and got a K6 GSXR 1000. Not ridden it like a total nob and ive managed to keep it shiny side up (did spin it up in 3rd on a cold damp day and soiled my leathers...). Now though, looking to sell it and get something smaller (Superveloce 800), my willy waving phase is complete :)

Have you ever read the Viz epic 'Profanisaurus'? It's a dictionary of swearing. Absolute comedy gold, and excellent for passing the time whilst you go for a poo. For example, here's the relevant entry; 'plasterer's radio' sim. Descriptive of a lucky lady who is heavily adorned with 'jelly jewellery'. Frequently found on American and Japanese cyber-scud. The funniest book I have ever clapped eyes on.
That same argument for road use only totally changes from person to person and how they go out and use the 1kcc bike. I've had my ER6f (650) for almost three years and am about to get a ZX10r most likely, but I'm not going to jump on it and ride it to the edge of it's ability like I do my 650 (even though I currently ride with S1krr, K1300s, ZX110r's etc), because I'm not stupid, I also will not be doing any track days anytime soon even if I could.
Did a wee bit of googling after you guys mentioned the track closing (“Rockingham Logistics Hub” now 😂) and it cost £45m to build so I wouldn’t get your hopes up on this Madrid one!
Al, I agree. My first bike was an FZR400RRSP, best bike riding I ever had. Probably as the gixers, RSV4 factories, zx10r's, Mille R etc were all too much bike for me. Tempted now for a 765!!
My first bike was an RC51 and I was fast after a month or two of riding it. I Raced cars previously, so I had an understanding of how to take a corner. I did ride a dirt bike YZ80 as a kid so I knew where the clutch and shifter and brakes were, which I'm sure helped. However, many people told me to get a 600.
Great show as usual.... And every day's a school day. As the proud owner of a Merc Vito 119cdi, I had no idea there was a 60mph limit on a dual carriageway. So yeah, I'd be super annoyed getting nicked at 70mph in flowing traffic. Any 44 teeth track days planned for when this lockdown shite is over??
My dad got done last week on the A55 dual carriageway in Wales for doing 71 in a Peugeot Partner which is one of those small under 2 tonne vans. Bloody hate the Welsh.
I find the latest thou's are pretty easy to ride. Its more a self control thing than a bike control thing. At reasonable speeds they aren't any more dangerous than smaller bikes. Problems come when the newbie on it opens the throttle for a few seconds and then realises they're hooning towards a corner/car/whatever way faster than they anticipated.
Can you do a piece on beginner sports bikes (600-750) top 10 for around £4-5k and what bikes are good for different people, pros and cons on each etc...
There is a performance exhaust company right near you guys. The dude on Bike World, who also visits JHS, got a local pipe for his loaner ZH2 and JHS' dyno showed power gains over the Akro. I'd still buy your brand just for the names.
I agree with the sentiment that a mature person should be able to buy whatever bike they want right off the bat. I was a professional driving instructor and have done quite a lot of auto racing. I started riding in my early 30s and took the MSF course before buying my first bike. I listened to people's recommendations and started on a CBR500R. It was only a month before I installed a full exhaust system, intake mods, and a reflashed ECU. I'm about to install a set of performance cams to get the bike up to around 60 WHP. I could have easily started on something up to about 100 HP. YMMV of course.
Bikes, experience and insurance. I started with a Tomas moped when I was 16. Two years later it was a Yamaha TZR 125, then a Virago XV535. That was 1993 and in 1995 the Virago was chopped in for a Triumph Sprint 900, followed by a Daytona T595 (shed). There's beeen many other bikes, some 2 Strokes, "adventure" bikes, more customs and superbikes (Kawasaki ZX7R in green was a favourite Chris), but in 2008 my then bike, a Honda VTR10000 SP2 wasn't getting used and it was sold (one bike I should never have sold). After an eight year break I bought a 2001 Triumph Daytona 955i and after about 18 months I started looking for something newer, but not an in line four. With Triumph not making anything to repalce the Daytona, they were out, so a Panigale V4 was a likely option. The quote from BeMoto with just one full year NCB was £3188 on a new V4. The next year they wouldn't quote at all as there had been a spate claims on such bikes and I was told try when you have four years NCB. A couple of years further on I have said Panigale that goes by the name of Michaela and being secondhand the insurance is about a grand. Previous quotes were for a new one, and at the time I was buying last year a new one would have been £1400 for the insurance. Hiowever, from my experience of insuring Land Rovers for the past 13 years, it's not only the experience that makes a difference, but the valiue of the machine, and I think the latter makes the most difference. Anyway, my tip is this: If you're going to take a break from bikes, buy a cheap and cheerful anything and keep it insured. It will be less painfull on the wallet and in time. All of my bikes are insured with BeMoto. For that I have 44Teeth to thank, so thanks 44Teeth! They may be a little more expensive than some others, but at least they know what they are doing, especially after being rear ended twice in three months! They even know what a bike is, which is refreshing these days.
Maybe do an 'Aids of the week' segment, featuring the latest and greatest electronic gizmos for bikes! Especially looking forward to Al's opinion on the adaptive cruise control, you Rozzburgers
Another good episode, so funny 😂 On the van point, isn’t the reason they have a lower speed limit that a van could well weigh over 3 tonnes with a load on board and has relatively crap tyres and brakes compared to a car, so can’t stop anywhere near as quickly?
I went from a Chinese 'hongda' 125, to a 2004 Zx10r. I had it 8 months and 4,000 miles. Twice I felt like I could've died on it, rider error, wouldn't have mattered what bike I was on. When I look back, it was a wasted machine on me, big chicken strips ect, and it ruined every lower CC bike I bought because a 600cc sports bikes needs to be rev'd high where as the 10r had the torque.

60mph in a van is news to me, I don't think I've ever seen a van do anything less than 100mph on a dual carriageway!

Another good episode, so funny 😂 On the van point, isn’t the reason they have a lower speed limit that a van could well weigh over 3 tonnes with a load on board and has relatively crap tyres and brakes compared to a car, so can’t stop anywhere near as quickly?
Yes there are carbonated natural springs.
Tip of the week: 30:29 (lubing cush drive rubbers with polish)
First motor bike was a Yamaha GT 80cc Light green for me and my brother .
Brilliant stuff gentlemen👍🏽
Fantastic show! 🇨🇦
Anyone notice that the B-King next to the Brocks growler had a turbo?
Up north we get drinking water out of a tap, hasn't it arrived in the south yet?
“Nice growler Jas, lovely growler” is my new message tone. Cheers boys 👍🏻
Bemoto are the dogs danglies, they sorted me out with a great quote, with excellent cover, sounds like an ad... yeah bollocks it is, there great.
What van does Boothy drive? Worth checking. If it's a car derived chassis the limit is 70.
The bars here can open for cocktails to go. Is that less dangerous?
Best episode yet 😆😂🤣
