Today from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, #IFD joined more than 30 organizations and public safety agencies in a mock, full scale disaster preparedness drill at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The APEX exercise is mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration and must be conducted every 3 years. It's purpose is to allow IND and first responding agencies the opportunity to evaluate and practice their airport emergency plan.
While it is definitely a drill - live passengers and realistic looking injuries are part of the training along with fire, smoke and flashing lights. Big thanks to everyone involved in today's event. Partnership at work. Just one more reason why IND has been voted the Best Airport in North America for 10 years straight. #TrainingMatters
